Responsabilités liées au développement des affaires
- Définir et mettre en œuvre la stratégie intégrée de développement des affaires pour les bannières Proxim et Uniprix au Québec, incluant la croissance du réseau, la rétention des membres, les transactions, les acquisitions et l’immobilier.
- Diriger les stratégies de renouvellement des contrats d’affiliation afin de protéger les actifs du réseau, réduire les risques concurrentiels et assurer la continuité des relations d’affaires avec les pharmaciens propriétaires.
- Piloter les transactions de pharmacies, incluant les acquisitions, ventes, transferts, situations complexes, offres concurrentielles ou hostiles, et instaurer une gouvernance rigoureuse des décisions d’investissement.
- Cibler, évaluer et concrétiser les opportunités d’acquisition de nouvelles pharmacies et de développement de nouveaux sites, en collaboration avec les équipes internes et les partenaires externes.
- Définir et piloter la stratégie immobilière pour le réseau, incluant la gestion des baux existants, l’évaluation des nouveaux emplacements, la négociation de conditions favorables et la gestion des risques immobiliers.
- Encadrer la protection et l’application des droits de premier refus, en collaboration avec les équipes Affaires juridiques, Finances, Opérations de détail et les partenaires externes.
- Bâtir et renforcer des relations stratégiques avec les banques, avocats, courtiers, comptables, promoteurs immobiliers et autres partenaires clés impliqués dans les transactions et le développement du réseau.
- Établir une vision à long terme du développement du réseau au Québec, incluant l’analyse des marchés, la planification de la relève des pharmaciens propriétaires et l’identification des zones de croissance prioritaires.
- Définir et suivre les indicateurs clés de performance liés à la croissance, à la rétention, aux transactions, aux acquisitions, à l’immobilier, à la rentabilité et à la création de valeur.
- Faire évoluer les processus d’affaires, les outils, les bases de données et les mécanismes d’encadrement afin d’améliorer la qualité des décisions stratégiques, financières et opérationnelles.
- Orchestrer le déploiement d’un plan d’intégration de l’intelligence artificielle dans les activités de développement des affaires afin d’accélérer les revenus, rehausser la qualité des décisions, optimiser les processus et renforcer la productivité des équipes.
Responsabilités liées à Sivem
- Assumer la responsabilité stratégique du portefeuille Sivem, marque privée de médicaments génériques appartenant à McKesson et vendue exclusivement dans le réseau Proxim et Uniprix.
- Orienter la stratégie commerciale, la performance financière, la croissance des ventes et la rentabilité de Sivem.
- Orienter le directeur des ventes Sivem et assurer l’alignement des priorités de vente, de pénétration du réseau, de lancement de nouvelles molécules et de développement des relations avec les pharmaciens propriétaires.
- Orchestrer la collaboration avec les équipes Approvisionnement, Catégories, Marketing, Finance, Distribution, Opérations et Services professionnels afin d’optimiser la performance globale du portefeuille Sivem.
- Cibler les occasions de croissance et de création de valeur liées à Sivem, incluant l’augmentation de la pénétration, l’optimisation de l’assortiment de produits et le soutien aux initiatives stratégiques du réseau.
- Positionner Sivem comme un levier clé de profitabilité, de différenciation et de réinvestissement dans les priorités stratégiques des bannières.
- Qualifier les cas d’usage de l’intelligence artificielle permettant d’accélérer la croissance de Sivem, d’améliorer les analyses commerciales, de cibler les occasions de pénétration et d’optimiser les processus de vente et de suivi de performance.
Leadership et supervision
- Mobiliser, orienter et développer une équipe composée de rapports directs occupant les postes suivants : Directrice, Stratégie et Performance - SIVEM; Chef principal – Développement des affaires, Transactions réseau et Renouvellements; et Chef principal – Développement des affaires, Recrutement et expansion de réseau.
- Instaurer une culture de performance, de rigueur, de collaboration et d’imputabilité au sein de l’équipe.
- Garantir l’alignement des objectifs individuels et collectifs avec les priorités stratégiques de McKesson, Proxim et Uniprix.
- Orchestrer la collaboration avec des hauts dirigeants au Canada, dans différentes fonctions, afin d’aligner les priorités stratégiques, les décisions d’affaires et les initiatives de croissance du réseau.
- Développer les talents, favoriser la relève et bâtir une capacité organisationnelle solide pour soutenir la croissance du réseau et la performance de Sivem.
- Positionner le virage vers l’intelligence artificielle auprès de ses équipes et partenaires internes en favorisant l’adoption, l’expérimentation responsable, l’amélioration continue et l’engagement des employés dans le changement.

- Diplôme universitaire dans un domaine pertinent; MBA ou formation équivalente, un atout.

Job Summary
Reporting to the VP, President and General Manager, Proxim and Uniprix, the Senior Director, Business Development, Network Growth and Strategic Partnerships plays a critical strategic role in driving the growth, retention and performance of the Proxim and Uniprix pharmacy network in Quebec. The incumbent is responsible for pharmacy transactions, affiliation contract renewals, acquisition of new pharmacies, real estate strategy and the management of the Sivem portfolio, McKesson’s private-label generic drug brand.
This role requires an integrated business vision, strong negotiation capabilities, financial discipline and the ability to mobilize multidisciplinary teams. As a member of the Proxim and Uniprix leadership committee, the incumbent acts as the strategic orchestrator of key network growth levers, while protecting McKesson’s strategic assets and creating value for pharmacy owners, the banners and the enterprise.
Responsibilities Related to Business Development
- Define and execute the integrated business development strategy for the Proxim and Uniprix banners in Quebec, including network growth, member retention, transactions, acquisitions and real estate.
- Lead affiliation contract renewal strategies to protect network assets, reduce competitive risk and ensure continuity of business relationships with pharmacy owners.
- Steer pharmacy transactions, including acquisitions, sales, transfers, complex situations, competitive or hostile offers, and establish rigorous governance of investment decisions.
- Target, assess and execute opportunities to acquire new pharmacies and develop new sites, in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
- Define and lead the real estate strategy for the network, including management of existing leases, assessment of new locations, negotiation of favourable terms and management of real estate risks.
- Oversee the protection and application of rights of first refusal in collaboration with Legal Affairs, Finance, Retail Operations and external partners.
- Build and strengthen strategic relationships with banks, lawyers, brokers, accountants, real estate developers and other key partners involved in transactions and network development.
- Establish a long-term vision for network development in Quebec, including market analysis, pharmacy owner succession planning and identification of priority growth areas.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators related to growth, retention, transactions, acquisitions, real estate, profitability and value creation.
- Advance business processes, tools, databases and governance mechanisms to improve the quality of strategic, financial and operational decisions.
- Orchestrate the deployment of an artificial intelligence integration plan within business development activities to accelerate revenue, enhance decision quality, optimize processes and strengthen team productivity.
Responsibilities Related to Sivem
- Assume strategic responsibility for the Sivem portfolio, McKesson’s private-label generic drug brand sold exclusively through the Proxim and Uniprix network.
- Shape Sivem’s commercial strategy, financial performance, sales growth and profitability.
- Guide the Sivem Sales Director and ensure alignment of sales priorities, network penetration, new molecule launches and relationship development with pharmacy owners.
- Orchestrate collaboration with Procurement, Category Management, Marketing, Finance, Distribution, Operations and Professional Services to optimize the overall performance of the Sivem portfolio.
- Identify growth and value-creation opportunities related to Sivem, including increased penetration, product assortment optimization and support for strategic network initiatives.
- Position Sivem as a key lever for profitability, differentiation and reinvestment in the banners’ strategic priorities.
- Qualify artificial intelligence use cases to accelerate Sivem growth, improve commercial analytics, identify penetration opportunities and optimize sales and performance follow-up processes.
Leadership and Supervision
- Mobilize, guide and develop a team of direct reports holding the following roles: Director, Strategy and Performance - SIVEM; Senior Manager, Business Development, Network Transactions and Renewals; and Senior Manager, Business Development, Recruitment and Network Expansion.
- Build a culture of performance, discipline, collaboration and accountability across the team.
- Ensure strategic alignment of individual and collective objectives with McKesson, Proxim and Uniprix priorities.
- Orchestrate collaboration with senior leaders in Canada, across different functions, to align strategic priorities, business decisions and network growth initiatives.
- Develop talent, support succession planning and build strong organizational capacity to sustain network growth and Sivem performance.
- Position the shift toward artificial intelligence with teams and internal partners by fostering adoption, responsible experimentation, continuous improvement and employee engagement in change.

Job Requirements
- University degree in a relevant field; MBA or equivalent education is an asset.
- 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in business development, transactions, acquisitions, commercial real estate, retail or the pharmacy sector.
- Demonstrated experience managing managers and mobilizing multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong expertise in negotiation, financial analysis, risk management, commercial strategy and business decision governance.
- In-depth knowledge of the pharmacy market, retail environment and competitive landscape in Quebec.
- Ability to manage complex, confidential and sensitive files involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills with leaders, senior leaders, pharmacy owners, external partners and internal teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and data, CRM or BI environments.
- Availability to travel across Quebec based on business needs.
- Excellent command of French and English, both written and spoken.
