Relevant du gestionnaire principal, Optimisation de la chaîne d’approvisionnement et transformation numérique, l’analyste principal(e) agit à titre de propriétaire fonctionnel de la capacité d’optimisation des stocks au sein des Opérations d’approvisionnement. Le/la titulaire dirige des initiatives complexes d’optimisation et de transformation numérique, traduit les données en recommandations d’affaires concrètes et met en place des pratiques analytiques évolutives qui améliorent les niveaux de stock, le service, les coûts, l’efficacité opérationnelle et la prise de décision.
Le rôle combine une expertise approfondie en gestion des stocks avec des compétences avancées en analytique, en transformation numérique, en gouvernance des données et en amélioration continue. L’analyste est responsable de la conception et de l’évolution des méthodologies d’optimisation des stocks, des stratégies de réapprovisionnement, des paramètres de la chaîne d’approvisionnement, des technologies de soutien et des capacités d’aide à la décision. Il/elle assure également la traduction de la Politique de gestion des stocks approuvée en méthodologies d’optimisation, paramètres, contrôles et recommandations, en partenariat avec le propriétaire de la politique et les équipes opérationnelles.
Agissant comme un pont entre les équipes de la chaîne d’approvisionnement et les partenaires en données, analytique, intelligence artificielle et technologie, l’analyste relie les défis d’affaires à des solutions pratiques, évolutives et durables qui demeurent pertinentes sur le plan opérationnel, bien gouvernées, intégrées aux processus et adoptées par les utilisateurs. Section A - Responsabilités spécifiques
Stratégie et optimisation des stocks, 25%
- Être responsable de l’évolution des méthodologies d’optimisation des stocks, des stratégies de réapprovisionnement et des paramètres de la chaîne d’approvisionnement afin de soutenir les objectifs de niveau de service, de stocks, financiers et opérationnels.
- Diriger l’évaluation, l’optimisation, la surveillance, la gouvernance et la validation des paramètres de stocks et de réapprovisionnement dans Blue Yonder/JDA.
- Concevoir et réaliser des analyses avancées, des simulations, des modélisations de scénarios et des tests d’hypothèses afin d’identifier des occasions d’optimisation, de remettre en question les hypothèses en place, d’évaluer différentes options et de recommander des améliorations durables et évolutives.
- Définir et suivre les indicateurs de performance liés aux stocks, établir des liens entre les résultats et les objectifs stratégiques, et identifier de façon proactive les risques, les causes fondamentales ainsi que les mesures correctives et préventives requises.
- Traduire les résultats des modèles et les constats analytiques en recommandations concrètes permettant d’équilibrer les niveaux de stocks, les jours de stock disponibles (JDS), les niveaux de service, les coûts et les contraintes opérationnelles.
- Présenter les options, les compromis, les analyses de rentabilisation, les bénéfices attendus et les risques afin d’influencer les décisions de la direction et les priorités d’investissement.
Solutions numériques et analytique (25 %)
- Diriger la conception, la maintenance, l’amélioration et la gouvernance des outils analytiques, tableaux de bord, modèles d’optimisation et solutions d’aide à la décision utilisés par les Opérations d’approvisionnement.
- Développer des capacités flexibles et évolutives pouvant s’adapter aux besoins d’affaires, aux priorités et aux modèles opérationnels en constante évolution.
- Piloter la modernisation des capacités analytiques grâce à l’automatisation, à la standardisation, à l’intégration de capacités basées sur l’intelligence artificielle et à l’arrimage avec les plateformes de données d’entreprise.
- Agir comme intermédiaire entre les équipes de la chaîne d’approvisionnement et les partenaires en données, analytique, intelligence artificielle et technologie afin de traduire les besoins d’affaires en exigences et en solutions évolutives.
- Identifier et diriger les occasions de simplifier les processus, de réduire les efforts manuels et d’améliorer la qualité des décisions ainsi que les résultats d’affaires en tirant parti des technologies analytiques, d’automatisation, d’intelligence artificielle et de transformation numérique les plus appropriées.
Gestion des données, intelligence d’affaires et gouvernance, 20%
- Diriger des activités complexes d’extraction, de transformation, d’intégration, de validation et de résolution de problèmes liés aux données à travers les systèmes opérationnels et corporatifs, afin d’assurer la fiabilité et l’utilisabilité des données.
- Définir et assurer la gouvernance des ensembles de données, des intégrations, des règles d’affaires, des définitions de données et de la documentation soutenant les analyses de la chaîne d’approvisionnement et les solutions numériques.
- Promouvoir une saine gestion des données en améliorant leur qualité, leur intégrité, leur accessibilité, leur transparence et leur compréhension par les utilisateurs d’affaires.
- Établir et maintenir des standards analytiques, des pratiques de gouvernance des données, des méthodologies de validation et des cadres de production de rapports afin de soutenir une prise de décision cohérente et fondée sur les données.
- Encadrer et réviser le travail des analystes, lorsque requis, afin d’assurer le respect des standards établis en matière de données, de production de rapports et de gouvernance.
Projets stratégiques et amélioration continue, 25%
- Diriger des initiatives stratégiques liées à l’optimisation des stocks, à l’intelligence d’affaires, à la modernisation des capacités analytiques, à l’automatisation, à la transformation numérique évolutive et à l’amélioration des processus.
- Collaborer avec des partenaires interfonctionnels afin d’identifier des opportunités, d’analyser les causes fondamentales et les solutions de rechange, d’aligner les priorités et de mettre en œuvre des solutions d’affaires durables.
- Réaliser des analyses ponctuelles complexes, élaborer des recommandations et construire des analyses de rentabilisation afin de soutenir les objectifs du service et de l’organisation.
- Assurer l’évolution continue des capacités, méthodologies, standards et meilleures pratiques en optimisation de la chaîne d’approvisionnement et transformation numérique afin d’accroître l’évolutivité, l’adoption, l’impact d’affaires et la préparation aux besoins futurs.

Expérience professionnelle
- Minimum de 7 années d’expérience pertinente en planification de la chaîne d’approvisionnement, gestion des stocks, analytique de la chaîne d’approvisionnement, intelligence d’affaires ou dans une discipline connexe, combinées a un baccalauréat ou a une experience équivalente.
- Expérience démontrée dans la prise en charge et l’évolution d’un processus complexe, d’un produit analytique, d’un portefeuille ou d’une capacité d’optimisation, avec un degré élevé d’autonomie.

- Experience dans l’encadrement d'analystes, la revision de livrables complexes et l'établissement de méthodes, de normes ou de pratiques exemplaires.
- Une experience dans le commerce de détail, le commerce de gros, la distribution, les sciences de la vie, le secteur pharmaceutique ou des environnements de chaîne d’approvisionnement d’une complexité comparable est considérée comme un atout.
- Une certification Ceinture verte Lean Six Sigma ou une experience équivalente en amélioration continue est considérée comme un atout.
Formation
- Baccalaureat en chaîne d’approvisionnement, operations, analytique d’affaires, systèmes d’information, analytique de données, génie ou dans un domaine connexe, ou experience équivalente.
- Une maîtrise en administration des affaires, chaîne d’approvisionnement, analytique, génie ou dans une discipline connexe est considérée comme un atout.

- Experience dans l’utilisation de plateformes d’analytique, d'intelligence d’affaires et de données d’entreprise, comme Power BI, Alteryx, SQL, Python, Snowflake, Databricks ou des technologies similaires.
- Solide compréhension des écosystèmes de données d’entreprise, notamment l'architecture, l’intégration, la qualité, la gouvernance et l’analytique des données.
- Capacité a diriger des activités complexes d’extraction, d’analyse, de validation, de dépannage et de développement de solutions.

Job Summary
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Supply Chain Optimization & Digitalization Enablement, the Senior Analyst serves as the functional owner of the Inventory Optimization capability across Procurement Operations. The role leads complex optimization and digital enablement initiatives, translates data into actionable business recommendations, and establishes scalable analytical practices that improve inventory, service, cost, operational efficiency, and decision-making.
The role combines deep inventory management expertise with advanced analytics, digital enablement, data stewardship, and continuous improvement. The analyst owns and advances inventory optimization methodologies, replenishment strategies, supply chain parameters, supporting technologies, and decision-support capabilities. The analyst also translates the approved Inventory Policy into optimization methodologies, parameters, controls, and recommendations, in partnership with the policy owner and operational teams.
Acting as a bridge between Supply Chain and Data, Analytics, AI, and Technology partners, the analyst connects business challenges with practical and scalable solutions that remain operationally relevant, governed, integrated, adopted, and sustainable. Success in this role requires strong supply chain and business acumen, curiosity to understand how operational teams work, and the ability to apply data, analytics, automation, and emerging technologies to deliver measurable business value.
Section A – Specific Responsibilities
Inventory Strategy & Optimization, 25%
- Own and advance inventory optimization methodologies, replenishment strategies, and supply chain parameters supporting service level, inventory, financial, and operational objectives.
- Lead the evaluation, optimization, monitoring, governance, and validation of inventory and replenishment parameters within Blue Yonder/JDA.
- Design and lead advanced analysis, simulations, scenario modeling, and hypothesis testing to identify optimization opportunities, challenge assumptions, evaluate alternatives, and recommend scalable improvements.
- Define and monitor inventory performance indicators, connect results to strategic objectives, and proactively identify risks, root causes, and corrective or preventive actions.
- Translate model outputs and analytical findings into actionable recommendations that balance inventory, DSI, service level, cost, and operational constraints.
- Present options, trade-offs, business cases, benefits, and risks to influence leadership decisions and investment priorities.
Digital Solutions & Analytics Enablement, 25%
- Lead the design, maintenance, enhancement, and governance of analytical tools, dashboards, optimization models, and decision-support solutions used by Procurement Operations.
- Develop flexible and scalable capabilities that can adapt to evolving business needs, priorities, and operating models.
- Drive the modernization of analytical capabilities through automation, standardization, AI-enabled capabilities, and integration with enterprise data platforms.
- Act as a bridge between Supply Chain and Data, Analytics, AI, and Technology partners, translating business needs into requirements and scalable solutions.
- Identify and lead opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve decision quality and business outcomes using the most appropriate analytical, automation, AI, and digital technologies.
Data Management, Business Intelligence & Governance, 20%
- Lead complex data extraction, transformation, integration, validation, and troubleshooting activities across operational and enterprise systems, ensuring data reliability and usability.
- Define and govern datasets, integrations, business rules, data definitions, and documentation supporting supply chain analytics and digital solutions.
- Promote data stewardship by improving the quality, integrity, accessibility, transparency, and business understanding of supply chain data.
- Establish and maintain analytical standards, data governance practices, validation methodologies, and reporting frameworks to support consistent decision-making.
- Coach and review the work of analysts where required, ensuring adherence to data, reporting, and governance standards.
Strategic Projects & Continuous Improvement, 25%
- Lead strategic initiatives involving inventory optimization, business intelligence, analytics modernization, automation, scalable digital transformation, and process improvement.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities, evaluate root causes and alternative approaches, align priorities, and implement sustainable business solutions.
- Lead ad hoc analyses, develop recommendations, and build business cases supporting departmental and organizational objectives.
- Drive the ongoing evolution of Supply Chain Optimization & Digitalization Enablement capabilities, methodologies, standards, and best practices to improve scalability, adoption, business impact, and future readiness.

- Provide occasional operational support or backfill for Procurement Operations activities as required.
- Maintain current knowledge of supply chain, analytics, automation, AI, data, and digital technology trends, evaluating their practical application to business challenges.

Working Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain Planning, Inventory Management, Supply Chain Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related discipline, combined with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience owning and advancing a complex process, analytical product, portfolio, or optimization capability with a high degree of autonomy.
- Experience leading complex cross-functional workstreams and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
- Experience developing and presenting analyses, scenarios, recommendations, business cases, options, and trade-offs to leadership.
- Experience with inventory optimization models, decision-support solutions, enterprise data platforms, data integration, automation, or digital transformation.
- Experience coaching analysts, reviewing complex deliverables, and establishing methodologies, standards, or best practices.
- Experience in retail, wholesale, distribution, life sciences, pharmaceutical, or similarly complex supply chain environments is considered an asset.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent continuous-improvement experience is considered an asset.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Analytics, Engineering, or a related discipline is considered an asset.
