Position Summary

The Senior Manager, HR Experiences & Programs plays a critical role in translating HR strategy into meaningful employee and leader experiences. This role serves as an experience designer and execution leader, bringing key HR priorities to life through compelling storytelling, engaging forums, and intentional employee experiences. 

Working closely with HR leadership and cross-functional partners, this individual designs employee and leadership experiences, develops communications and supporting materials, manages complex projects, and leverages data, insights, and AI-enabled solutions to enhance effectiveness and engagement.

The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with exceptional execution, demonstrating the ability to translate priorities into experiences, communications, and programs that drive understanding, engagement, and action. 

Key Responsibilities

Employee & Leader Experience Design

• Design experiences that help individuals understand, engage with, and act on HR priorities, accelerate adoption of key initiatives, and strengthen connection to HR  

• Create integrated approaches that connect communications, meetings, events, forums, and other engagement channels into a cohesive experience.  

• Develop the narratives, content, and materials that support strategic initiatives, organizational change, and employee engagement efforts.  

• Identify opportunities to strengthen engagement and understanding through new experiences, channels, and approaches.  

• Apply employee feedback, business insights, external trends, and innovative practices to continuously improve experiences and outcomes. 

• Explore and apply AI-enabled approaches to enhance employee experiences, engagement strategies, and content development. 

Project Leadership

• Drive execution of complex initiatives through detailed planning, stakeholder coordination, progress management, and delivery. 

• Develop project plans, implementation strategies, communication plans, timelines, and success measures. 

• Manage dependencies, risks, and competing priorities while maintaining progress across multiple workstreams. 

• Coordinate work across HR teams and stakeholders to drive alignment, accountability, and successful implementation of key initiatives. 

• Provide structure, organization, and operational discipline to move ideas effectively from concept to completion. 

• Leverage AI and automation tools to improve planning, project execution, reporting, and operational efficiency. 

Leadership Meetings, Forums & Events

• Design and execute high-impact leadership and employee meetings, forums, and events. 

• Develop strategic agendas and content approaches that align with organizational priorities and desired outcomes. 

• Coordinate speaker preparation, content development, logistics, stakeholder engagement, and event execution. 

• Facilitate planning processes that drive alignment, effective decision-making, and meaningful participant experiences. 

• Ensure timely follow-up, action tracking, and continuous improvement of meeting and event effectiveness. 

• Leverage AI-enabled tools, technology, and innovative delivery methods to enhance planning, engagement, participation, and event effectiveness. 

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

• Build trusted relationships with leaders, HR partners, Corporate Communications, and cross-functional stakeholders. 

• Facilitate collaboration across teams to ensure alignment of programs, communications, and experiences with broader organizational objectives. 

• Partner with subject matter experts and leaders to shape communications, content, and employee experiences. 

• Influence without authority and effectively navigate complex stakeholder environments. 

Innovation, AI & Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve communication quality, employee experiences, operational efficiency, and program effectiveness through the practical application of AI and automation. 

• Utilize AI-enabled tools to accelerate content development, improve workflows, support planning activities, and generate insights. 

• Stay current on emerging technologies, workplace trends, and innovative practices. 

• Champion experimentation and continuous improvement, helping the team adopt new approaches that enhance outcomes and effectiveness. 

• Use data and feedback to measure impact and guide future enhancements. 

Qualifications

Experience

• 7-10 years of experience in employee experience, communications, project management, change management, HR programs, or related disciplines. 

• Demonstrated experience developing executive-level communications, presentations, and strategic messaging. 

• Experience managing complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities. 

• Proven ability to design and execute employee or leadership experiences, meetings, events, or engagement programs. 

• Experience supporting organizational change, transformation, or strategic initiatives preferred.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
