Sommaire du poste
Le ou la spécialiste des services aux patients est un membre clé de l’équipe des services aux patients et est responsable de fournir du soutien administratif et de counseling aux patients pour les cabinets médicaux, principalement afin d’aider à la complétion des formulaires et au suivi des soumissions liées à l’obtention du remboursement des médicaments par l’entremise des régimes privés et provinciaux d’assurance médicaments, dans le cadre des programmes de soutien aux patients offerts par McKesson Spécialité.
L’objectif principal du poste est de réduire les délais d’approbation pour les patients en attente de débuter leur traitement, tout en offrant des services à valeur ajoutée en temps et en ressources aux médecins prescripteurs, selon les besoins.
Le poste implique des interactions avec les patients, les compagnies d’assurance, les pharmacies, les médecins et d’autres professionnels de la santé (PS) afin d’explorer et d’obtenir la couverture du médicament prescrit ainsi que d’assurer la gestion des dossiers patients.
Ce poste est basé sur une semaine de travail de 37,5 heures, avec flexibilité permettant de planifier un quart de travail de 7,5 heures à tout moment durant les heures d’opération du programme, soit de 8 h à 20 h (HNE).
Responsabilités spécifiques
Assurer la liaison entre le patient, l’assureur et le médecin concernant la documentation requise afin d’obtenir la couverture maximale de remboursement, incluant l’exploration de tous les régimes publics et privés et l’escalade auprès des employeurs lorsque requis.
Gérer les cas d’escalade lorsque le soutien requis dépasse la portée du programme.
Recueillir toutes les informations pertinentes et appropriées à partir du dossier du patient, compléter les documents requis de façon concise, organisée et professionnelle, et soumettre les formulaires signés par le médecin aux assureurs privés et/ou aux régimes provinciaux d’assurance médicaments.
Effectuer les suivis auprès des assureurs concernés jusqu’à l’obtention d’une décision, dans le but d’en accélérer le traitement lorsque possible. En cas de refus, le ou la spécialiste senior des services aux patients discutera du dossier avec le médecin et procédera à une nouvelle soumission si cela est convenu.
Saisir dans la base de données des patients toutes les mises à jour relatives aux soumissions de remboursement, aux confirmations de couverture et aux nouvelles soumissions.
Effectuer, au nom des cabinets médicaux, les suivis requis auprès des patients afin de favoriser l’adhésion aux traitements.
Fournir aux médecins et au personnel de leurs cabinets des informations et des mises à jour concernant les médicaments, notamment les nouveaux critères et indications reçus de McKesson Canada ou du client.
Le ou la spécialiste senior des services aux patients peut se voir confier des mandats spéciaux (stretch assignments) pour le client.
Appuyer la gestion des escalades clients liées au programme, au besoin.
Soutenir l’équipe en répondant aux questions, en résolvant les problèmes et en assignant des tâches.
Appuyer le ou la gestionnaire de programme (PM/APM) en aidant à diverses tâches telles que la rédaction de déviations, les revues d’appels, la gestion des incidents de confidentialité et les conciliations d’événements indésirables (EI), selon les demandes.
Agir à titre d’expert(e) du programme (SME) et contribuer au développement de matériel de formation pour l’équipe, au besoin.
Fournir en continu des pratiques exemplaires à l’équipe.
Recevoir, documenter et signaler les événements indésirables conformément aux exigences des fabricants pharmaceutiques.
Participer et contribuer aux initiatives d’amélioration continue du département liées aux processus, à la qualité, à la formation, etc.
Maintenir les niveaux de service en gestion de cas, incluant la déclaration des événements indésirables dans les vingt-quatre (24) heures suivant leur réception, ainsi que tout autre indicateur clé de performance établi au niveau du programme.
Effectuer la saisie de données, répondre aux appels entrants, effectuer des appels sortants, gérer les courriels et les logiciels de télécopie, ainsi que les fonctions administratives générales incluant l’envoi de télécopies, le classement et la numérisation.
Qualifications minimales
Diplôme d’études secondaires ou l’équivalent requis.
Minimum d’un (1) an d’expérience pertinente dans un milieu de soins de santé, clinique ou administratif.
Compétences clés
Expérience antérieure avec des programmes de soutien aux patients (PSP) fortement souhaitée.
Excellentes compétences en service à la clientèle, communication et résolution de problèmes.
Bilinguisme (français/anglais) constitue un atout.
Bonne maîtrise de la suite Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Esprit d’équipe et aisance à travailler de façon autonome.
Connaissance approfondie des principes d’apprentissage chez l’adulte et de la formation.
Sens aigu de l’organisation et grande attention aux détails.
Capacité à comprendre et à appliquer des techniques de gestion de multiples priorités.
Haut niveau de motivation et d’engagement au sein d’une équipe.
Le poste peut être stressant en raison de la variété des tâches et de périodes de pointe possibles liées à la réalité de la gestion médicale. Le travail s’effectue souvent dans des contextes émotionnels.
Peut être appelé(e) à conduire un véhicule, généralement pour des déplacements locaux.
La personne titulaire de ce poste devra offrir un soutien quotidien à des clients internes et/ou externes situés à l’extérieur du Québec et/ou aux États‑Unis.
