Le Comptable principal, Paie et avantages sociaux, est responsable d’effectuer les activités comptables liées à la paie et aux avantages sociaux.

Ce poste fournira un soutien comptable à plusieurs unités d’affaires réparties sur différents sites et dirigera des projets d’amélioration des processus dans ses domaines d’activités.

Le titulaire du poste devra collaborer avec un fournisseur de services externe.

Responsabilités principales

  • Effectuer les activités comptables de fin de période relevant de son champ de responsabilité et s’assurer du respect des échéanciers
  • Coordonner les tâches réalisées par le fournisseur de services afin d’assurer une prestation de services de qualité et de réduire les risques
  • Gérer les escalades soulevées par le fournisseur de services
  • Fournir des rétroactions, réviser la documentation de soutien et collaborer avec les autres départements et unités d’affaires afin d’assurer la résolution des demandes en suspens
  • Analyser les ajustements et réviser les écritures comptables
  • Réviser les analyses d’écarts et gérer les rapports préparés
  • Réviser et approuver les conciliations de bilan
  • Recommander et mettre en œuvre des améliorations de processus et de systèmes par la standardisation et l’automatisation afin d’accroître l’efficacité des activités comptables liées à la trésorerie
  • Participer activement aux audits
  • Veiller au respect des politiques de l’entreprise

Exigences minimales

  • Minimum de 4 années d’expérience en comptabilité
  • Titre de CPA ou expérience professionnelle équivalente (un atout)
  • Baccalauréat en comptabilité ou dans un domaine connexe

Compétences clés

  • Expérience avec SAP ou d’autres systèmes ERP d’envergure
  • Capacité à résoudre des problèmes et à exercer un bon jugement, notamment pour escalader les enjeux avec des recommandations appropriées, au besoin
  • Fort sens de l’urgence et respect rigoureux des échéanciers
  • Aptitudes démontrées en amélioration des processus existants
  • Excellent esprit d’équipe et bonnes habiletés interpersonnelles
  • Compétences en communication efficaces et fortes capacités d’influence
  • Excellentes aptitudes en communication orale et écrite
  • Capacité à travailler de façon autonome, à gérer et à prioriser plusieurs responsabilités

Position Description:

The Senior Accountant, Payroll and Benefits Accounting, will be responsible for performing Payroll and Benefits accounting tasks.

This position will be responsible for providing accounting support to multiple business units across multiple locations and lead process improvements projects across its areas of activities.

This role will be required to collaborate with a service provider.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform period-end close accounting activities under its areas of responsibility and ensure deadlines are met
  • Coordinate tasks performed by the service provider to ensure quality service delivery and mitigate risks
  • Manage escalations raised by the service provider  
  • Provide feedback, review supporting documentation and coordinate with other departments and business units to ensure resolution of outstanding requests
  • Analyze adjustments and review journal entries
  • Review variance analysis and manage reports prepared
  • Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations
  • Recommend and implement process and system improvement through standardization and automation to expand the efficiency of cash accounting
  • Actively involved in audits
  • Ensure that the company’s policies are observed

Minimum Requirements

Minimum of 4+ years accounting experience

Certified Public Accountant, or equivalent work experience preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

Critical Skills

Experience with SAP or other large ERPs

Capable of solving problems, and using sound judgement to escalate issues with recommendations when necessary

Great sense of urgency and respect for deadlines

Proven strength in improving current processes

Strong team player with good interpersonal skills

Effective communication skills with strong influencing abilities

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work independently, manage, and prioritize various responsibilities

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
