At McKesson, our purpose is to advance health outcomes for all. The Conversion Analyst supports pharmacy systems and data conversion and migration activities by analyzing, validating, and reconciling data migrated from legacy pharmacy systems to target platforms. This role works closely with pharmacy stores, Deployment, Field Services, Production Support, DBA, Training, and cross-functional technology teams to ensure successful conversions, smooth go-lives, and effective post-go-live support. A strong pharmacy background, digital and AI-enabled mindset, and flexibility to provide on-site support are essential.

** 10 Month Contract Position ** Possibility of Extension

Specific Responsibilities
  • Support end-to-end pharmacy system conversion activities, including data analysis, mapping, validation, and reconciliation
  • Work directly with pharmacy stores to gather, document, and validate pharmacy-specific requirements
  • Analyze legacy pharmacy system data and map it accurately to target systems (patient, drug, prescriber, plan, billing, and workflow data)
  • Perform pre- and post-conversion data validation, reconciliation, and sanity checks
  • Identify, document, and escalate data discrepancies, risks, or conversion defects
  • Execute and document test cases to confirm data integrity and functional readiness
  • Provide go-live and post-go-live support, including issue investigation, stabilization, and resolution
  • Perform ticket triage and support, working within defined SLAs
  • Collaborate closely with Deployment, Field Services, and Training teams to ensure operational readiness
  • Support cutover planning, execution, and post-conversion follow-up
  • Provide on-site support and travel as required
  • Maintain clear documentation of conversion activities, validation results, and known issues
  • Participate as a contributing member of an Agile delivery team
  • Apply a digital and AI-enabled mindset to improve efficiency and conversion quality
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support McKesson pharmacy conversion initiatives
Key Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of pharmacy system experience, including hands-on involvement with pharmacy operations or implementations
  • Experience with pharmacy systems such as: Pharmaclik Rx, Propel Rx, Nexxsys, Kroll, Fillware, Assyst Rx or other PMS systems
  • Strong understanding of pharmacy workflows, third-party billing, and operational requirements
  • Experience supporting system conversions, data migrations, or software implementations
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, CSV files, and large datasets
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work cross-functionally with interdepartmental teams
  • Ability to make decisions and perform well under pressure
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to prioritize work and appropriately escalate issues when required
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel and provide on-site support
  • Willingness and flexibility for weekend and overnight work
Assets / Nice-to-Have:
  • Experience providing post-go-live support and ticket triage
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, Jira, and Confluence
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams
  • Familiarity with data mapping, reconciliation, or ETL concepts
  • Experience leveraging automation, AI tools, or digital solutions
  • Knowledge of SQL, reporting tools, or production support workflows

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. $81,500 - $135,800
