The Private Label Program Management team is hiring a project manager to support our product lifecycle management and operational excellence initiatives. This role will lead new product launch projects in collaboration with supply partners, internal and external stakeholders, Quality, Regulatory, and Supply Chain teams. The role will also support with change management, process documentation and process improvement activities.

This position requires an energetic, adaptable, and results-focused individual with excellent communication, administrative, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Must thrive in a fast-paced environment and have demonstrated ability to influence, lead project execution, drive results, and collaborate across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Lifecycle Management:

  • Manage the introduction and the launch of generic pharmaceutical drug products from new/existing supply partners for:
  • First time product launch (new product, new contract manufacturer and new market)
  • New SKU launch from existing pharmaceutical drug product
  • Supplier switches
  • Establish and lead Product Launch Team comprising of Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Supplier and Product Quality groups to ensure alignment towards target launch dates and to ensure that project deliverables are achieved on time
  • Anticipate, identify, report and highlight any potential risks, issues and challenges to the project stakeholders
  • Recommend and implement adjustments when required
  • Set clear priorities to the Product Launch Team & ensure accurate tracking and reporting of project & departmental metrics.
  • Maintain accurate product pipeline database detailing anticipated launch dates
  • Conduct post launch project review sessions to identify key lessons learned and improvement opportunities for the launch of future products
  • Build/maintain effective working relationships with business stakeholders to ensure successful roll out of new products
  • Coordinate/support other site strategic initiatives as required
  • Product lifecycle – Maintaining the product lifecycle status, including communicating status to internal stakeholders including Government pricing, finance, analytics, Business Development
  • Assist in monitoring of performance standards and related activities of contract manufacturers
  • Assist in ensuring NorthStar policies are conducted correctly and efficiently


Operational Excellence:

  • Drive strategic campaigns, process collaboration, operational excellence, and executive priority projects
  • Engage with cross-functional organizations to develop, document current process gaps and identify new processes
  • Facilitate and collaborate with key stakeholders from implementation to change management activities
  • Identify risks to project success and create mitigation plans; manage and negotiate win-win outcomes
  • Govern and manage projects via reporting and dashboards capabilities for leadership
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure global standardization, documentation, and co-ordination efforts are adhered to
  • Responsible for establishing processes that improve customer experience, and simplicity of operations
  • Drive change management through process streamlining and digital optimization

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in business, supply chain, science, or healthcare related field
  • 4+ years experience in either Supply Chain, Healthcare, Product Lifecycle Management or Project Management Experience
  • Proven project management skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders simultaneously
  • Ability to build trustful relationships internally and externally using influential skills to manage expectations
  • Quality oriented and rigorous attention to detail, coupled with a demonstrated track record of delivering on goals
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to engage with personnel at all levels within the organization
  • Team player with an inclusive and collaborative mindset
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions based on judgement and integrity
  • Proven technical and problem-solving skills with the ability to transfer findings into report and presentation formats
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools – Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Adaptable to changing technology and ability to learn new processes and software tools as the business evolves (project management software, Smartsheet, etc.)

Preferred Experience:

  • CAPM, PMP or equivalent Project Management Certificate preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
