The Director, Marketing & Digital Engagement leads SCRI’s enterprise marketing and digital strategy, driving integrated brand campaigns and overseeing a cohesive digital ecosystem across all channels. This role brings the SCRI brand to life through multi‑channel marketing, digital, social, and experiential activation while ensuring consistent digital standards, governance, and user experience across corporate and network sites.

Working closely with cross‑functional and executive partners, this leader aligns marketing and digital initiatives with organizational priorities, advances digital innovation, and improves the patient journey and trial discoverability. The director also oversees analytics and performance measurement, translating insights into strategic recommendations that strengthen engagement and business impact, and serves as SCRI’s enterprise digital subject matter expert for internal teams and research sites.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Integrated Marketing Campaigns & Brand Activation

  • Develop and implement creative, omni‑channel marketing campaigns for the SCRI brand across audiences—leveraging print and digital advertising, email, web, landing pages, eNewsletters, video, blog content, podcasts, social media, and publications.

  • Translate SCRI brand strategy into compelling campaigns, experiences, and storytelling that engage pharma customers, physician partners, and patients.

  • Lead digital, social, and experiential marketing execution, ensuring brand programs are brought to life through integrated experiences and ongoing engagement.

Enterprise Digital Strategy & Ownership

  • Provide strategic leadership for SCRI’s full digital ecosystem, overseeing all web properties, digital platforms, and online experiences across corporate and site-level channels.

  • Define, evolve, and govern SCRI’s enterprise-wide digital engagement strategy, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment with organizational goals across all digital touchpoints.

  • Establish and manage digital governance standards, including content strategy, UX/UI principles, accessibility requirements, and platform best practices.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & GTM Leadership

  • Collaborate with Communications, SCRI corporate and local marketing teams to lead go-to-market planning for the SCRI brand and to ensure consistent, aligned marketing strategy implementation across sites.

  • Partner with executive teams and internal stakeholders to deeply understand business objectives and guide effective digital and marketing programs that support organizational priorities.

  • Regularly convene key stakeholders across the organization to ensure coordinated planning, alignment, and execution across all marketing and digital initiatives.

Digital Innovation, Best Practices & Patient Journey Optimization

  • Stay current on modern marketing technologies, platforms, and best practices; introduce innovative approaches to improve digital engagement throughout the patient journey.

  • Lead digital enhancements that improve the discoverability, accessibility, and clarity of clinical trial information for patients and partners.

  • Oversee application of SEO/GEO principles, content optimization methodologies, and digital experience improvements to support growth goals.

Analytics, Measurement & Optimization

  • Develop and implement robust measurement frameworks to evaluate campaign performance, digital engagement, and platform effectiveness.

  • Interpret digital and campaign KPIs, insights, and trends with the goal of continuous optimization and stronger business impact.

  • Provide strategic recommendations to leadership based on data, informing platform enhancements, campaign refinements, and investment decisions.

Stakeholder & Network Support

  • Foster strong, productive relationships with internal teams, research sites, and partners to support their digital and marketing needs in alignment with SCRI’s strategic plan.

  • Serve as the enterprise subject matter expert for digital strategy, advising network partners on digital best practices, content use, and platform enablement.

Team Management

  • Manage Digital Coordinator as well as digital contract support

  • Oversee vendor support for marketing campaigns inclusive of brand development and digital content creation

  • During your employment with SCRI, you will be routinely assigned training requirements. You are expected to complete any training assignments by the due date.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred

  • 7+ years of relevant experience

Knowledge:

  • Deep knowledge of omni‑channel marketing strategy, including digital, social, content, experiential, and paid media.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise digital ecosystems, including web platforms, UX/UI best practices, accessibility standards, and content governance.

  • Expertise in modern digital marketing tools and technologies (CMS, CRM, marketing automation, analytics platforms, SEO/GEO optimization, and social media management).

  • Solid understanding of brand strategy, creative development, and how to translate brand platforms into integrated campaigns and digital experiences.

  • Knowledge of performance measurement, digital analytics, KPI frameworks, and data‑driven optimization.

  • Familiarity with healthcare, clinical research, or highly regulated environments (preferred but not required).
