Entry-Level Associate Utility Technician

Location: Jacksonville, FL, USA - 4815 Executive Park CT # 103 

Compensation: This role has a budgeted rate of $15 per hour

Shift Details: Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm.

Note - shift subject to change

This is an entry-level biomedical technician role. The position focuses on testing medical devices and performing minor maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing preventative maintenance and minor repairs on biomedical equipment

  • Maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe service environment

  • Meeting individual and department productivity goals

  • Managing inventory processes and utility technician responsibilities

  • Completing all required training as directed by leadership

  • Communicating with vendors and customers professionally when needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • 0-1 years of experience. May have vocational qualification.

While minimal experience is required, candidates should demonstrate a willingness to learn how to diagnose and service various biomedical devices. The position has several preferred educational backgrounds:

  • Biomedical associates degree

  • Healthcare technology management degree

  • Biomedical-related military experience

  • Vocational certification from an Accredited Certificate Program

  • Related experience in medical device repair

  • Experience with biomedical programming/use

Additional Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 0-1 years of experience

  • High attention to quality and detail

  • Compliance with all applicable standards (SOPs and work instructions)

  • Good decision-making abilities

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to prioritize work effectively

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining focus on results

  • Aptitude for learning biomedical systems (like OneTrack) and device testing software

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools

  • Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates would have some exposure to the field through:

  • OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) training

  • On-the-job training with various medical devices

  • Demonstrated technical competency and productivity

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. $11.65 - $19.41
