This role is a hybrid position. The selected candidate is expected to work on-site at our Las Colinas office a minimum of two (2) days per week, with the remaining days worked remotely. Specific in-office days may be designated based on team needs and business priorities.

About the Role:

The Marketing Director, Health SystemsNational Accountsis a senior strategicmarketingleaderreporting into the Vice President ofHealth Systems Marketingwho willworkembeddedwith theHealth SystemsGPO leadership team to strengthen how enterprise capabilities, value, and differentiation are understood and positioned within priorityHealth SystemsGPOand Federal Governmentpartnerships. This roleoperatesas a dedicated extension of the GPO team whileremainingaligned to Strategic Marketing to ensure consistency with enterprise strategy.

Therolefocuses on enabling long-termHealth SystemsGPO partnership success by translating enterprise strategy intosegmentrelevant value narratives, elevating engagement from transactional discussions to strategic partnership positioning, and supporting renewals and growth through clear, credible enterprise value articulation.

What You'll Do:

  • Own enterprise value positioning forNational Accountspartnerships(GPO’s and VA)

  • Serve as a senior strategic advisor toNational Accountsleadership, supportingexecutive‑leveldiscussions

  • Partner on the design ofstrategic priorities andleadactivation of sales andgo‑to‑marketinitiatives

  • Embed within the GPO team whilemaintainingalignment with enterprise strategy and capabilities

  • Integrate enterprise capabilities across distribution, specialty, advisory, analytics, and contracting into cohesiveGPO‑relevantpositioning

  • Identifypositioning risks,perceptiongaps, and opportunities that mayimpactpartnership success

  • Support GPO contracting analytics, alignment and strategic initiatives including adoption of enterprise tools and processes

  • Contribute to more consistent, proactive, and structured engagement with GPO partners

Basic Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 12+ years of professional experience and 4+ years of management experience.

  • Strategic Leadership: Cross-functional planning to build value through differentiation, deep knowledge of McKesson wholesaler economics andpurchasinggroups relationships.

  • Communication & Influence: Outstanding communication, presentation, and ability to articulate complex messages in a simple, yet compelling way. 

  • 8+years instrategic marketing, enterprise strategy, or related rolesoperatingin complex, matrixed environments.

  • Demonstratedability to serve as a trusted strategic advisor to senior leaderswithin the Health Systems leadership team.

  • Strong ability to translate enterprise capabilities into clear, compelling value narratives.

  • Proven experience working across multiple functions to drive alignment and consistency.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Experience supporting large, complex partnerships such as GPOs, health systems, or similar environments preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Candidate must reside within a commutable distance to Irving, TX.

  • Candidate will be required to be onsite at our Irving, TX Headquarters location two times per week.

  • Up to 15% travel nationwide.

We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$137,000 - $228,400
