We are seeking an Operations Manager (M1) to support and lead daily operational activities within our Surrey, BC facility. This role is responsible for supervising operational teams, coordinating closely related workflows, and ensuring receiving, inventory, production support, and shipping activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with established procedures.

The Operations Manager works hands‑on with frontline employees and peer supervisors to meet short‑term operational goals, resolve issues, and improve day‑to‑day performance. This position is ideal for a developing people leader with proven operational experience and a strong execution mindset.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

  • Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of an operations team performing routine to moderately complex tasks
  • Provide work direction, assign priorities, and set deadlines to ensure timely completion of operational work
  • Monitor workflow, work‑in‑progress, staffing needs, and material availability
  • Ensure materials and finished goods are received, stored, handled, and shipped according to established procedures
  • Maintain inventory accuracy, security, and accountability through proper inventory control practices
  • Review reports, records, and operational data to identify issues, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Resolve day‑to‑day operational problems using established policies and procedures
  • Support cost monitoring activities and provide input into departmental budgets
  • Collaborate with peer supervisors and other functional teams to ensure operational alignment
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, performance feedback, and employee development activities
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and support implementation of approved improvements

Basic Requirements

(Minimum Education & Typical Experience or Equivalent Combination – Career Framework)
These requirements must be clearly demonstrated on a resume.

  • 3+ years of subject‑matter experience in operations, manufacturing, distribution, or facility support
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including coordinating and supervising employees
  • Experience working in environments governed by established procedures, policies, or operational plans
  • Ability to review operational reports, track progress, and address issues with guidance from management

Preferred Skills / Experience

  • Post‑secondary education in Operations Management, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • Experience in inventory management, logistics, or materials handling
  • Exposure to continuous improvement practices or process optimization
  • Experience working in regulated or quality‑driven environments
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills

Work Location, Travel & Physical Requirements

  • On‑site role based in Surrey, British Columbia
  • Limited or no travel required
  • Ability to work in an operational environment that may require standing, walking, and light material handling

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$70,600 - $117,600
