Program Overview

McKesson’s Intern program is designed to provide:

Job Responsibilities:

AI & Automation Development

  • Create Agentic AI Toolstoassistwith complex workflows, orchestrate tasks, and streamline communication across cross-functional teams.

  • Automate data inputsand notification triggers to provide real-time visibility to communications and reduce latency.

  • Develop andmaintainlow-code solutions(using tools like Power Automate or Logic Apps) to integrate disparate systems and reduce manual data entry.

  • Map process logic and decision treesthat serve as the foundation for autonomous agents and workflow automation.

  • Test and refine AI promptsto ensure high accuracy and reliability in automated outputs.

Implementation & Support

  • Create comprehensive documentationfor new and existing reports,ensuringall logic and data sources are clearly recorded.

  • Provide feedback and suggestionswhile documenting reports toidentifyinefficiencies and proactively recommend enhancements.

  • Streamline reporting interfacesto reduce user friction, allowing stakeholders to execute workflows directly within the report environment.

  • Validate data integrityacross reports to ensure "single source of truth" reliability.

Operational Support

  • Develop ad-hoc operational reportsand visualizations toassistmanagers in immediate decision-making and troubleshooting.

  • Assistin streamlining workflowsto allow all operational managers and support staff toutilizereports effectively in their day-to-day activities.

  • Drive the adoption of standard reporting toolsby simplifying access and creating user-friendly navigation.

  • Act as a bridge between technical teams and operations, translating business needs into technical data requests.

Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilitiesrequiredfor this position.

  • Education:Enrolled in a Bachelor’s orMaster’sprogram in Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or Business Technology.

  • Technical Aptitude:Possessa strong technical background with an ability to understand complex data structures and system integrations.

  • Low-Code Automation:Experience developing solutions using theMicrosoft Power Platform(Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI).

  • Data & Scripting:ProficiencyinSQLfor database management andPython(specifically libraries like Pandas or NumPy) isrequired.

  • Web Technologies:Experience withHTML & CSSis highly desirable for creating custom web interfaces and enhancing Power Apps UI/UX.

  • Microsoft Office Suite:Advanced mastery ofExcel(macros, pivots),PowerPoint(for executive presentations),Visio, andSharePoint.

  • AI Fluency:Familiarity withAgentic AI conceptsanddemonstratedexperience inPrompt Engineering(structuring inputs for LLMs to getoptimaloutputs).

  • Operational Knowledge:Theoretical understanding oflogistics, supply chain optimization, and operations management.

  • Soft Skills-

  • Dynamic & Adaptive:Capable of pivoting quickly as project re quirements evolve.

  • Resilient:Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Positive & Collaborative:Maintainsa solution-oriented attitude when facing technical blockers.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. $17.69 - $27.74
