The AI & Copilot Analytics Developer is responsible for defining and operationalizing the analytics framework that measures enterprise adoption, usage patterns, and business impact of AI and Microsoft Copilot solutions. This role serves as the subject matter expert for analytics within the Microsoft ecosystem, leveraging tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Viva Insights, and **Microsoft 365 reporting capabilities to generate actionable insights.

The role will translate platform telemetry, productivity insights, and usage analytics into clear recommendations that drive adoption, improve employee productivity, and maximize the value of AI and Copilot investments across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise AI & Copilot Analytics Strategy

  • Define and implement the analytics strategy for AI and Copilot adoption across the enterprise.
  • Establish standardized metrics to measure usage, engagement, productivity impact, and value realization.
  • Partner with platform and business teams to ensure data-driven decision making for AI investments.

Microsoft Ecosystem Reporting & Insights

  • Serve as the enterprise expert on Microsoft Power BI, building advanced dashboards and analytics models to track AI and Copilot adoption.
  • Leverage Microsoft Viva Insights to analyze work patterns, collaboration behaviors, and productivity trends related to Copilot usage.
  • Utilize **Microsoft 365 usage analytics and reporting capabilities to monitor feature adoption and engagement across Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, and other productivity tools.
  • Develop enterprise-level reporting frameworks that consolidate insights across multiple Microsoft data sources.

Adoption & Value Measurement

  • Track key adoption metrics including active users, feature utilization, prompt usage patterns, and workflow automation adoption.
  • Quantify productivity gains and efficiency improvements resulting from Copilot-enabled workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to improve adoption based on usage insights and behavioral patterns.

Executive Insights & Decision Support

  • Develop executive dashboards and data storytelling frameworks to communicate Copilot impact and ROI to leadership.
  • Deliver clear, actionable recommendations that inform enterprise AI strategy and scaling decisions.
  • Translate complex telemetry and analytics into business-focused insights and narratives.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify barriers to Copilot adoption through analytics and recommend improvement strategies.
  • Collaborate with enablement, platform, and product teams to refine rollout strategies and maximize value.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred) or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.

Must have critical skills

  • 5 to 7+ years of experience in enterprise analytics, business intelligence, or digital workplace analytics.
  • Deep expertise in Microsoft Power BI including data modeling, dashboard development, and enterprise reporting architecture.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Viva Insights for organizational productivity and collaboration analytics.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7+ years of relevant experience in enterprise analytics, business intelligence, or digital workplace analytics.
  • Experience building executive-level dashboards and adoption analytics frameworks.
  • Strong data storytelling and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Experience measuring AI and Copilot adoption across enterprise environments.

Good to have

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 reporting and telemetry capabilities.
  • Familiarity with digital workplace analytics and productivity measurement frameworks.
  • Experience working in large, regulated enterprise environments.

Working Conditions:

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$81,500 - $135,800
