Senior Contract Analyst – 340B

Job Summary

The Senior Contract Analyst is responsible for managing and administering 340B government and supplier contracts, ensuring accurate execution, compliance, and timely issue resolution. This role works closely with suppliers, internal partners, and customers to resolve pricing, eligibility, and contract-related inquiries while delivering a high level of service.

The position also plays a key role in identifying process improvement opportunities through analysis and research, supporting system enhancements, and contributing subject-matter expertise to projects and cross-functional initiatives. Strong analytical thinking, contract compliance knowledge, and customer-focused problem-solving are critical for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of the 340B program, including daily operations and exception reporting.
  • Research and resolve 340B pricing and eligibility inquiries submitted through Salesforce.
  • Conduct monthly Contract Pharmacy eligibility audits to ensure customer contract eligibility is administered accurately and in compliance with supplier agreements.
  • Understand and evaluate the downstream impact of contract and system changes.
  • Communicate regularly with suppliers, customers, and internal business partners to resolve issues and strengthen working relationships.
  • Proactively collaborate with suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, including the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of submitted information.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend opportunities for automation and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure service level expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly PHS and Apexus catalogs, as well as Apexus Credit/Rebill reports, to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Use various systems and tools to perform complex research, develop system expertise, and support issue resolution.
  • Partner with the Chargebacks and Pricing Corrections teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Support the MHS team by managing escalated customer and supplier issues.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on departmental and cross-functional project teams.
  • Cross-train across multiple departmental functions to provide coverage and operational flexibility.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Typically requires 5+ years of related professional experience.

Critical Skills & Experience

  • At least 3 years of related business experience, preferably in customer service, accounting, finance, or the wholesale pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience with transactional processing, compliance monitoring, research, analysis, and issue resolution.
  • Proven ability to manage key accounts and perform detailed data analysis and investigative research.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service mindset with a focus on responsiveness and accuracy.

  • Highly organized with strong time management skills.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborative team player with a willingness to take initiative and support continuous improvement efforts.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant business or industry experience.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. $27.98 - $46.64
