CoverMyMeds’Shared Capabilities and Partnershipsteam is looking for aSr Director, Product Managementto help drive the definition and adoption of common capabilities across the suite of products. Of note, our Product team is a strategic group of individuals focused on collaboration and impact. Together with our various business units, the work our team does ultimately helps people get the medicine they need to live healthier lives.

What You'll Do

As aSr. Director, Product Managementyour daily to-dos will shift with business needs, but here’s a snapshot of what to expect:

  • Own the CMM strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for shared enabling capabilities (platform, data, and internal systems), including prioritization, sequencing, and investment recommendations across product suites. 

  • Accountable for the adoption, effectiveness, and measurable business impact of shared capabilities, ensuring they materially enable product scalability, speed to market, and cross‑suite leverage.

  • Lead CMM‑level prioritization and tradeoff decisions across competing product suite needs, balancing near‑term delivery, long‑term platform health, and CMM strategy.

  • Serve as the primary decision maker for shared capability roadmap alignment, resolving conflicts across product, technology, and commercial stakeholders.

  • Partner closely with senior leaders (VP, Sr. Director, Director) across Product, Technology, Commercial, and Operations to shape shared capability strategy, inform enterprise planning, and influence roadmap and investment decisions.

  • Represent Shared Capabilities in CMM Op Model planning, portfolio governance, and strategic prioritization forums, ensuring enabling capabilities are appropriately represented in CMM-level decision making.

  • Strong collaboration across Product, Technology, Commercial, and Ops is required in ensuring needs are understood across the business and our enabling capabilities support those needs, serving as a bridge across functions

  • Lead a group of product managers, ensuring delivery of priorities while supporting performance and development

  • Scope of the role could expand to build out further data capabilities in support of Product and Commercial needs.

Priority will be given to candidates who reside in the Columbus, OH Metropolitan area

Minimum Qualifications:

Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 13+ years of professional experience and 6+ years of diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization,and people motivation skills (or equivalent experience).

Critical Skills

  • Product management experience and experience with technical product development methodologies (e.g., Agile)

  • Technical competency with direct experience with technology platforms, data and analytics, and internal systems that interact with platforms is strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to create teams in new, undefined areas and get to a highly impactful organization

  • Strong collaboration skills and demonstrated enterprise-first mindset

  • Ability to work across teams and levels, including in-depth product discussions with teams, cross-team planning with peer groups, and executive level updates and presentations.

  • Demonstrated experience defining strategy in ambiguous, enterprise‑scale problem spaces and influencing outcomes through senior‑level stakeholders.


Preferred Skills

  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a technology organization

  • Technical skills and experience leading or working with technology teams in one or more of the following: platform, data and analytics, and internal systems.

  • Ability to apply AI and automation (Claude) to accelerate product delivery, including experience structuring domain knowledge for AI-assisted development or decision-making

  • Experience with sales and billing processes is preferred, particularly in how they tie to product strategy and requirements

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$157,500 - $262,500
