Job Title: Executive Assistant, Oncology & Multispecialty Technology

Current Need

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Executive Assistant to support Vice Presidents (SVPs) in our Oncology & Multispecialty Technology division and select members of their leadership team. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless day-to-day operations, managing complex schedules, and facilitating communication across departments and with external stakeholders. You will be a trusted partner, helping to drive efficiency and effectiveness in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Provides or leads a full range of executive-level administrative support to Technology leaders within the Oncology and Specialty business unit, exercising the highest levels of confidentiality, tact, and professionalism. Serves as a trusted partner to Technology executives, ensuring operational efficiency and enabling leadership focus on strategic priorities.
  • Manages and prioritizes complex and dynamic workflows including calendars, meetings, travel, communications, and correspondence. with sound judgment and awareness of organizational priorities.
  • Coordinates and prepares materials for leadership meetings, technology reviews, steering committees, and cross‑functional engagements. Oversees logistics for business travel, team events, and technology‑focused workshops. Tracks expenses, maintains records, and ensures compliance with departmental processes and standards.
  • Supports creation, implementation, and continuous improvement of administrative practices, tools, and operating mechanisms across the technology organization. Represents the Technology leadership office with discretion, professionalism, and a strong service orientation.

Job Responsibilities / What You’ll Do

  • Manage and maintain complex calendars, ensuring the VP's or SVP's are prepared for meetings and key engagements.
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, and itineraries.
  • Prepare and edit high-quality presentations, reports, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
  • Organize and support leadership meetings, off-sites, and town halls, including agenda planning, logistics, and follow-up.
  • Maintain organizational charts and track budgets related to VP team activities.
  • Serve as a liaison between the SVPs, internal departments, and external clients, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed to meet Company goals.

KNOWLEDGE Acts independently to determine optimal methods, tools, and processes for supporting Technology executives. Anticipates needs, identifies opportunities to streamline operations, and applies expert knowledge of administrative practices, organizational dynamics, and technology-driven environments. Shares expertise with peers and partners across the Oncology and Specialty business unit and the broader enterprise.

PROBLEM COMPLEXITY Consistently manages complex assignments requiring strong judgment, independent decision‑making, and a high degree of initiative. Navigates competing priorities, rapidly shifting schedules, confidential matters, and high‑impact business challenges. Expected to recommend improvements to administrative processes, technology workflows, and operational rhythms to enhance executive productivity and team effectiveness.

Canada Hub Coordination

In addition to executive support responsibilities, serves as the Hub Coordinator for the Oncology & Specialty Technology team in the Canada office, fostering a connected, engaging, and thriving workplace culture for team members. Plan and execute employee engagement activities, onsite events, recognition programs, and community‑building initiatives. Ensures smooth event logistics, clear communication, and alignment with broader employee engagement priorities. Acts as an onsite cultural amplifier, helping create an inclusive, high‑energy environment where our technology employees feel supported, informed, and connected.

Minimum Requirements & Qualification required

Operates with minimal supervision and significant discretion in resolving administrative, operational, and logistical challenges. Frequently acts as a facilitator, liaison, and coordinator between Technology executives, clinical and operational stakeholders, enterprise partners, vendors, and internal teams. Serves as a point of continuity, culture, and operational excellence within the Technology organization.

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience supporting senior executives in a fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • detail-focused orientation and strong ability to drive complex tasks to completion across organizational lines.
  • Experience with budget tracking and organizational chart creation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • High level of professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to anticipate needs, think critically, and offer solutions to problems with a high level of professionalism.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$61,100 - $101,700
