Operations Manager - Night Shift

Target Salary: 90-95K (flexibility in target based on individual experience) + Night shift differential (7-8K annually)

NO RELOCATION ASSISTANCE IS PROVIDED. CANDIDATE MUST BE WITHIN 50 MILES OF LOCATION FOR CONSIDERATION.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage nightshift warehouse operations, inventory, order fulfillment, and shipping.
  • Ensure compliance with DEA, FDA, OSHA, and Board of Pharmacy regulations, including oversight of controlled substance handling and documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Planning, Inventory, Facilities, and Safety, to meet service level agreements and operational KPIs.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, accuracy, and cost efficiency.
  • Maintain readiness for audits and inspections through regular self-audits and process reviews.
  • Support business continuity planning and emergency response protocols.
  • Supervise and develop frontline supervisors and associates, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
  • Manage staffing, performance, compliance, and employee engagement.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Typically requires 6+ years of professional experience and 0-2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance (DEA, FDA, state pharmacy boards).
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (AS400), automation (WCS/KNAPP/SAP), and KPI tracking.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Critical Skills:

  • Strong operational knowledge
  • Proficient in MS Suite (specifically Excel)
  • Experience with WMS (warehouse management systems)
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in distribution or pharmaceutical operations, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement certification.
  • Understanding of DSCSA (Drug Supply Chain Security Act)

Schedule

  • Schedule requires flexibility to provide coverage for supervisors or meet business needs.
  • Sunday - Thursday (Friday coverage is occasionally needed)
  • Weekend rotation with the Emergency phone.
  • Starting time varies based on coverage and need (4 PM-9 PM).
  • Shift end time also varies based on coverage and need (1 AM - 6 AM).

$72,600 - $121,000
