About the role:

We are pleased to announce an opening for the position of Facilities Maintenance Technician within our organization. This role focuses on managing electrical and electro-mechanical systems in a distribution center, contributing significantly to operational efficiency and safety.

Shift Details:

  • Sunday through Thursday
  • Sunday: Starts at 6:00 PM Monday - Thursday: Starts at 7:00 PM until completion of tasks.

Compensation: This role has a budgeted range of $27.00 - $32.00 per hour +$1.75 Shift Differential

Core Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, modify, troubleshoot, and repair various electronic and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of all facility systems, including conveyors, A-Frames, printers, strappers, compressors, and other automated technologies. Demonstrate strong electrical troubleshooting skills to effectively resolve issues as they arise.
  • Exhibit initiative in learning new systems and equipment, thereby enhancing personal and team capabilities.
  • Lead and train other facilities assistants, promoting a collaborative work environment.
  • Manage vendor relationships and communications to facilitate successful partnerships.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of related experience

What We’re Looking for:

  • Expertise in troubleshooting control systems, from relay logic to microprocessor-based controls.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
  • A strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, including power feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, AC/DC drives, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), UPS systems, compressors, and air handling units.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical/HVAC, electrical, or a combination thereof.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and solve problems effectively.
  • Flexibility regarding work hours, including availability during holidays and for on-call situations.

Preferred/Educational Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and light electrical construction experience.
  • Familiarity with Windows XP/7 and work order systems.
  • Understanding of LOTO (Lock-Out/Tag-Out) procedures and OSHA regulations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, especially in high-pressure situations.
  • Professional interaction skills with contractors performing maintenance or upgrades
  • Associate degree, trade school certification, or equivalent technical training in a relevant field.
