Position Summary

As a Business Intelligence Analyst at McKesson, you will play a key role in supporting our GPO and pharmaceutical business partners with data‑driven insights that enable smarter decisions, stronger financial performance, and improved operational outcomes.

In this role, you will independently develop analyses, dashboards, and reporting that uncover trends, highlight opportunities, and support strategic conversations. Your work will help shape decisions that impact customers, internal partners, and the broader McKesson business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform data‑driven analyses to support operational, financial, and strategic initiatives across GPO and pharmaceutical business units.

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Analyze contract performance, pricing trends, utilization, and rebate‑related data to identify opportunities and risks.

  • Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approaches, delivering clear insights and recommendations.

  • Support recurring reporting cycles and ad‑hoc analytical requests with accuracy and urgency.

  • Collaborate with solution architects, data engineering, and analytics teams to improve automation, data availability, and reporting efficiency.

  • Validate data quality and ensure consistency and reliability of analytical outputs.

  • Prepare presentations and executive‑ready summaries for leadership and customer-facing discussions.

Minimum Requirement

Degree and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Data Science, Finance, or related field—or equivalent professional experience.

Critical Skills

  • Typically 4+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related analytical discipline.

  • Experience independently managing analytical deliverables with moderate complexity.

  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including complex formulas, data modeling, and pivot tools.

  • Experience with BI and visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI.

  • Solid understanding of data structures, KPIs, and analytical methods.

  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights and visual stories.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings to technical and non‑technical audiences.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment.

  • Healthcare, pharmaceutical, or GPO industry experience is a plus.

Salary: 89,000.00 - 118,700.00 - 148,400.00 USD Annual with 5% MIP

Target comp approx.~ 115K with 5% MIP

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
