Work Arrangement: This is a hybrid position requiring candidates to work on-site at least 2 days per week at our office in Mississauga. The remaining days may be worked remotely, subject to team and business needs.

Job Summary:

The Sr. Director, Clinical Operations leads workforce planning, scheduling, and operational management to ensure efficient clinic operations and high-quality patient care. This role drives process improvement, team leadership, and resource optimization, partnering with senior leadership to achieve organizational goals and foster a culture of innovation.

Section A – Specific Responsibilities:

Workforce Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop and implement workforce strategies to meet clinic and business needs.

  • Oversee scheduling systems to optimize staff allocation and clinic throughout.

  • Ensure staffing aligns with patient volume and operational requirements.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and mentor managers and staff to achieve performance goals.

  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment.

  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, and succession planning.

Process Optimization & Clinic Efficiency

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance clinic efficiency and service quality.

  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives, including AI-driven solutions.

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for scheduling, financials, and quality.

Operational Management

  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, KPIs, SLAs, and company policies.

  • Oversee billing, reporting, and program management for INVIVA clinics.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support contract management, supply chain, and IT implementation.

Budget & Resource Management

  • Manage budgets, control costs, and optimize resource utilization.

  • Support annual budgeting processes and monitor financial performance.

  • Evaluate ROI of process changes and workforce initiatives.

Section B – General Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily management presence and promote teamwork.

  • Maintain quality standards in deliverables and patient interactions.

  • Act as a resource and leader in area of expertise.

  • Share technical and competitive information with colleagues.

  • Participate in process design for optimal efficiency and results.

Section C – Position Requirements:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in health or behavioural sciences, business, or equivalent experience.

  • 7–10 years of management experience in healthcare operations or contact center environments.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing people leaders, including performance management.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proven expertise in workforce planning, scheduling, and process optimization.

  • Experience with AI implementation and efficiency generation.

  • Strong coaching, development, and team leadership skills.

  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.

  • Fluency in French is an asset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business or healthcare administration.

  • Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.

  • Experience with clinical workflows and regulatory compliance.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$150,800 - $251,300
