Facilities Support Technician

Location: Jeffersonville, OH, USA - 8200 Bluegrass Blvd

Compensation: $18-25/hr

Shift differential: $1.50/hr

Shift: Sunday to Thursday, 4pm-12:30am

Note - Shifts subject to change based on the needs of the business. OT may be required and is mandatory if required.

Job Summary

This is a rare and unique opportunity for an internal or external to advance their career within the maintenance/facility team!  In this entry level facilities position, you will be assisting the facilities team with close-out(s), vault and lid tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Test Prints on LLM’s (Label Lid Machine) including PLP (Price Label Printers) and Ricoh.

  • Clearing over heights

  • Clearing LLM jams

  • Clearing PLP jams

  • Clearing strapper jams

  • Interacting with the HMIs at the LLM area.

  • Vault: Loading totes/lids and maintaining the operation of the LLM/Strapper.

  • Closeout: Maintaining the closeouts. 

  • Lids: Loading lids and checking conveyor jams.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Typically requires 1+ years of related experience.

Additional Skills and Qualifications

  • 1 year of relevant experience in a DC environment is preferred; 6 months is required for internal team members

  • Knowledge and safe usage of various types of equipment in maintenance/facility trade (hand tools, power tools, conveyors, forklifts, pressure gauges, voltmeters, etc.). is preferred

  • Exposure to various trades (Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC. Millwright, etc.) would be considered a strong asset

  • Power Equipment experience is preferred

  • Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with coworkers, vendors, and contractors.

  • Safety Compliance LOTO/OSHA: Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices to ensure a safe working environment

  • Teamwork: Must be able to step in to assist the facility team with janitorial type tasks and minor repairs (i.e. doors, landscape, etc.) if required

  • Must be a positive change team member that demonstrates passion and commitment to the success of themselves and the team.

  • Good critical thinking skills with the ability to see the “big picture” 

  • Excellent organization and prioritization in a fast-paced environment

  • Other tasks may be assigned by leaders to improve and maintain the proper training and support of the DC

  • Must be willing to continuously learn over time and be open to taking education in the electrical field

Physical Demands (some or all may apply):

  • Must be comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces

  • Must be comfortable working in refrigerated areas

  • May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day.

  • May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day.

  • May be necessary to work extended hours as needed.

  • Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.

  • May need to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion and great weights in a team lift.

  • Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Must be able to hear normal voice sounds.

$16.41 - $27.35
