A lead role in developing and managing projects and tools to ensure that the assigned tasks are conducted professionally, on schedule, and on budget in accordance to established specifications. Ensures that project deliverables are completed to the client’s expectations and in accordance with SOPs, ICH GCP, applicable regulations, policies, and practices. Works closely and effectively with crossfunctional teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide the lead role as project manager which supports business operations across functional units.

  • Consult with key team contacts to ensure that specifications for the project are clearly established.

  • Ensure that schedules are established, and necessary budgets are developed and agreed to prior to commencing the project.

  • Partner with project sponsor/team to define project objectives, scope, schedule, and budget (if applicable).

  • Provide direction to team members regarding the nature of assignment and provide ongoing monitoring of activities and progress to ensure project milestones are met.

  • Ensure consistent use of tools, training materials, and compliance with standard processes, policies, and procedures.

  • Evaluate tool performance, recognize successful results, and take corrective actions when the performance is not meeting expectations.

  • Establishes project charter and plan, including metrics.

  • Manage the execution of projects from planning through delivery, including project team management, resource management, budget (if applicable), scheduling, project performance, and overall delivery quality.

  • Timely and effective communication with the project team, sponsors and stakeholders regarding project status, risks, and issues raised by project team members and planning/implementing appropriate corrective and preventative action plans.

  • Assist in gathering information required for the development of tools; manage
    requirements documentation, including change management of requirements.

  • Confirm project outcomes by establishing standards and testing requirements that may include test plan creation.

  • Continuously re-evaluate project status, identify issues and risks, and provide recommendations for resolution and escalate when necessary.

  • Initiate changes to internal process and program specific processes to enhance services and key performance indicators.

  • Develops specific work instructions to assist teams in utilization of tools.

  • Conduct project training for teams, as necessary.

  • Develop and monitor tool requests metrics, including prioritization of new tool development requests.

  • Participate in educational activities and programs as required.

  • Maintain strictest confidentiality.

  • Perform related work as required.

Mandatory: The following are mandatory expectations of all SCRI employees.

  • Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement.”

  • During your employment with SCRI, you will be routinely assigned training requirements. You are expected to complete any training assignments by the due date.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 3+ years of experience in project management

  • Smartsheet Certification strongly preferred

  • Knowledge of applicable sections of the Code of Federal Regulations, FDA Guidance documents and ICH recommendations for clinical trials

  • Knowledge of medical and clinical research terminology

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results to the appropriate quality and timeline metrics

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills

  • Strong software and computer skills, including Smartsheet, clinical trial management systems, clinical trial databases and MS Office applications

This role is a P2 with a compensation range of $60,000 to $88,000.
