Position Summary:

McKesson Medical Surgical is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Client Manager, to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and developing relationships within an established Government contract portfolio consisting of SLED and Federal contracts. As the Sr. Client Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth, optimizing revenue, and ensuring customer satisfaction within your portfolio.

Responsibilities:

Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for all customer-related matters within your portfolio. Establish productive partnerships, understand their specific needs, provide tailored solutions to enhance collaboration and maximize business opportunities.

Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the targeted segments. Analyze market trends, conduct competitive intelligence, and develop strategies to expand MMSGS’ presence in these specialized government segments.

Contract Negotiation: Negotiate and finalize contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that align with the company's objectives. Collaborate with legal and finance teams to review and approve agreements, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

Product and Service Promotion: Act as a subject matter expert on MMSGS’ product portfolio and service offerings. Work closely with internal teams, including marketing and sales, to develop marketing collateral, educational materials, and promotional campaigns specific to the targeted segments.

Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance metrics related to the portfolio, such as sales revenue, market share, and customer satisfaction. Utilize data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance performance and achieve revenue targets.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, operations, and supply chain teams, to ensure seamless execution of portfolio initiatives. Provide guidance and support to these teams to ensure alignment with segment strategies and objectives.

Industry Knowledge: Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and developments related to the specific Government segment and healthcare procurement. Share relevant insights with internal teams and provide thought leadership on emerging opportunities and challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing relationships within government contracts.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, SLED Cooperatives and GPOs, Federal agencies, and healthcare procurement processes.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, contract negotiation, and achieving revenue targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making and performance improvements.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive results.
  • Travel up to 25%

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$97,800 - $163,000
