Job Summary

The Compensation Consultant will serve as a strategic advisor and subject matter expert for compensation programs across the US Oncology Network. This role is responsible for leading the design, analysis, and administration of compensation structures, ensuring alignment with business goals, internal equity, and market competitiveness. The consultant will collaborate closely with HR Business Partners and leadership to support annual compensation cycles, job architecture, M&A integrations, and compensation governance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and execution of annual compensation review cycles, including merit increases and short-term incentive programs.

  • Maintain and evolve the Network’s job architecture, including mapping new roles and recommending updates to the career framework.

  • Drive compensation integration efforts for mergers and acquisitions, ensuring consistency and compliance.

  • Conduct market benchmarking and compensation analysis to inform pay decisions and maintain competitive positioning within the healthcare industry.

  • Develop and maintain compensation policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance and consistency.

  • Partner with HRBPs and business leaders to align compensation strategies with organizational goals and talent priorities.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of compensation programs.

  • Ensure confidentiality and integrity of sensitive compensation data.

  • Support additional compensation-related projects and initiatives as assigned.

Minimum Job Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.

Additional Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive compensation experience, including strategy development, base and variable pay design, market pricing, and job evaluation.

Preferred Skills & Certifications

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation strongly preferred.

  • Experience with Workday Compensation module highly desirable.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong skills in Word and PowerPoint.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$107,900 - $179,900
