Position Summary
McKesson is seeking a VP of Field Sales, Community Pharmacy & Health (CP&H). The VP of Field Sales, Community Pharmacy & Health (CP&H) is responsible for leading a team of sales professionals within a specified geography or state. The key focus is to execute strategic plans and to meet and/or exceed targeted sales, financial, and organizational goals. This role involves collaboration with CPH enterprise and extended teams to enhance value for customers, buying groups, and McKesson. A key focus is on maintaining high customer satisfaction as measured via NPS scores and promoting the development and growth of team members through ICARE and ILEAD principles guidance and feedback.
This role will cover the following states:
South New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia, Eastern North Carolina.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and communicate strategic sales and marketing plans to grow market share, increase revenue, and increase EBIT & PBT or gross profit drivers. VP will have strong financial acumen, negotiation skills and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced business.
Develop strategies for delivering our key metrics for success, including our NPS and customer engagement measurements.
Act as a business partner to our shared service teams, to optimize business results and customer satisfaction.
Offer a leadership style that aligns with our ICARE & ILEAD principles and continually demonstrate our shared behaviors in management style and approach with teams and within the enterprise.
Actively demonstrate the ability to articulate and sell our unique value proposition, which enhances our customer relationships and drives our financial scorecard.
Manage sales engagements with store owners via in-person meetings or virtual platforms.
Lead and manage diverse set of individual contributors in a shared geography. VP will actively engage in the talent management, development, and hiring process for these entry roles in the sales organization to support optimal team performance and to drive EOS engagement.
Ability to leverage data and CRM management tools to identify trends and to modify strategies appropriately. Set up MBOs that drive lead indicators and create appropriate lag outcomes.
Education & Minimum Requirements
4-year degree, preferably with an emphasis in sales & marketing, strategic planning, business management, or equivalent experience.
Typically requires 12+ years of professional experience and 4+ years of management experience.
Critical Skills
Typically requires 12+ years of field account management and/or sales experience AND 4+ years of management experience and preferably in healthcare industry.
Proven track record of growing market share year over year.
Demonstrated executive relationship management.
Demonstrated team leadership ability.
Previous sales experience in wholesale distribution, within healthcare preferred.
Proven ability to successfully lead a field sales team in a fast paced, high transaction business.
