Responsabilité

McKesson is an impact-driven, Fortune 10 company that touches virtually every aspect of healthcare. We are known for delivering insights, products, and services that make quality care more accessible and affordable. Here, we focus on the health, happiness, and well-being of you and those we serve – we care.

What you do at McKesson matters. We foster a culture where you can grow, make an impact, and are empowered to bring new ideas. Together, we thrive as we shape the future of health for patients, our communities, and our people. If you want to be part of tomorrow’s health today, we want to hear from you.

Overview

McKesson is committed to improving healthcare and enhancing the lives of patients across the care continuum, and this role plays a key part in that mission.

As a Sr. IT Architect, you will design, implement, and support high‑performing integration solutions across B2B/EDI, API/iPaaS, event‑driven, and ERP ecosystems. In this role, you will partner closely with business stakeholders, product teams, managed service providers, vendors, and external trading partners to deliver integration capabilities that support order management, invoicing, logistics, distribution operations, and other mission‑critical business processes.

You will play a key role in ensuring platform reliability, security, and observability, while supporting modernization initiatives that transition legacy integrations to cloud‑first and API‑led architectures. This role operates across a mix of vendor technologies, including SAP integration platforms (SAP PI/PO, SAP BTP Integration Suite, SAP S/4HANA) and complementary enterprise integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Integration Architecture & Solution Design

  • Architect, design, and deliver end‑to‑end integration solutions across SAP and non‑SAP ecosystems, including SAP EDI/PI/PO, SAP BTP Integration Suite, S/4HANA, and other enterprise platforms.
  • Define and apply integration patterns spanning synchronous APIs, asynchronous messaging, event streaming, batch/file exchange, and B2B/EDI transactions.
  • Develop canonical data models, mapping strategies, and error‑handling frameworks that emphasize resiliency, observability, and maintainability.
  • Lead modernization and migration initiatives, including transitions from legacy SAP XI/PI to SAP PO, BTP-based services, and cloud‑first/API‑led architectures.
  • Design and optimize integration mappings using tools such as Message Mapping, Java Mapping, and XSLT within NetWeaver and BTP environments.
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, security policies, and performance expectations.

B2B/EDI & Partner Connectivity

  • Engage directly with customers, vendors, third‑party logistics providers, and managed service partners to understand business processes and integration needs.
  • Design and implement B2B/EDI solutions including trading partner onboarding, transaction mapping, number‑range configuration, partner profile management, and VAN/network connectivity.
  • Configure secure communication using AS2/AS4, SFTP/FTPS, certificates, and other partner connectivity protocols.
  • Define and validate transaction mappings, test plans, SLAs/OLAs, and integration governance requirements to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Experience Operations, Professional Services, and product teams to deliver seamless and consistent partner experiences.

Platform Engineering & Enablement

  • Drive the evolution of the integration platform, strengthening capabilities across iPaaS/API management, messaging, eventing, and gateway technologies.
  • Establish and promote reusable templates, integration accelerators, and architectural guardrails.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC), and other engineering best practices to improve delivery speed and quality.

Development, Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Provide technical leadership, coaching, and hands‑on support to Business Analysts, developers, and MSP partners.
  • Troubleshoot complex integration issues across SAP PI/PO, BTP, S/4HANA, and broader integration environments; apply OSS notes and perform root cause analysis.
  • Monitor system health, queues, performance logs, integration loads, and communication channels to maintain operational stability.
  • Identify automation opportunities, streamline integration processes, and drive continuous improvement through modern integration patterns and tooling.

Operations, Reliability & Observability

  • Define SLOs/SLIs for integration platforms and implement end‑to‑end monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing.
  • Lead incident and problem management activities, including performance tuning and long‑term remediation.

Security, Privacy & Compliance

  • Configure and manage certificates, SSH keys, and secure communication protocols for system‑to‑system and B2B/EDI connectivity.
  • Implement robust encryption, Zero‑Trust controls, and modern security patterns to protect sensitive business data.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate security standards and all relevant regulatory and compliance frameworks.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Partner with internal IT, business teams, product groups, MSPs, and vendors to align integration solutions with business goals.
  • Support platform evaluations, vendor engagement, and RFP processes.
  • Clearly communicate architectural decisions, risks, and solution recommendations to technical and non‑technical audiences.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.

Critical Skills & Expertise

  • 7+ years of professional experience in SAP integration, including SAP Process Integration/Process Orchestration, SAP BTP Integration Suite, and S/4HANA environments.
  • Strong hands‑on experience in SAP PI/PO, SAP BTP Integration Suite services, and hybrid integration scenarios.
  • Proficiency with SAP adapters (File, FTP/SFTP, IDoc, RFC, SOAP, JDBC, JMS, HTTP) and integration mapping technologies.
  • Experience migrating interfaces from SAP XI/PI to SAP PO or BTP‑based solutions, including CTS+ and manual transport processes.
  • Knowledge of performance tools such as Runtime Analysis, Code Inspector, SQL Trace, and System Log.
  • Familiarity with SAP modules including ECC, BW, FI, CRM, APO, and Vistex, with the ability to support complex RICEFW objects.

Additional Qualifications

  • Strong collaboration, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to work across cross‑functional teams and directly with customers.
