Reporting to the Guardian, I.D.A. and Remedy’sRx Marketing Manager, the Sr Associate, Local Marketing will be responsible for the coordination and deployment of local marketing programs and initiatives across the entire network of pharmacies in Canada. The Sr Associate will plan, recommend and implement local marketing solutions to support pharmacy owners as needed. With a strong attention to detail, the Sr Associate is action-oriented and has the ability to successfully lead multiple projects and meet deadlines. They are expected to collaborate and share best practices with other Sr Associates from other pharmacy banners. They will work directly with pharmacy owners, vendors and internal departments to achieve the best results, where their professional client-facing service and communication skills will be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, present and update local marketing plans to pharmacy owners, based on their needs and objectives.
  • Develop and execute local marketing requests, such as store openings, anniversaries, mailings, newspaper ads, radio ads, in-store promotions, displays, social media ads, etc.
  • Support pharmacy owners with their local marketing needs by making recommendations to achieve their business objectives and coach them through the timelines, media investment and technical challenges, if any.
  • Develop and execute the creation and delivery of local marketing tools and programs for groups of pharmacy owners, such as turn-key bundles, marketing toolbox materials, and templates.
  • Use available advertising reports (Google Analytics, Facebook Business Manager, etc.) to measure and analyze the performance of local campaigns and make recommendations to pharmacy owners.
  • Monitor consumer comments/reviews on the Google My Business dashboard and other community sites and escalate situations to pharmacy owners as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with the Brand Marketing Specialist to adapt national advertising campaigns into local campaigns.
  • Regularly communicate the local marketing offering to owners to drive engagement and usage of services.
  • In collaboration with the retail learning academy team, develop and update local marketing guides, webinars or workshops for pharmacy owners.
  • Create timelines for all projects and strictly adhere to deadlines and budgets.
  • Collaborate closely with the graphic studio and follow up on studio briefs for graphic projects.
  • Execute all billing for local marketing initiatives and programs
  • Ad hoc tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in a marketing, digital marketing, or communications related field
    • 2-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in retail or healthcare
    • Proven track record of being able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Strong understanding of marketing principles and strategies
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
    • Experience with social media, Meta Business Manager, Google marketing platforms, Google Analytics
    • Experience with billing and/or SAP is a plus

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining deadlines and budgets

  • Excellent analytical skills; ability to track campaign performance and identify areas for optimization

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$64,200 - $106,900
