Technical Project Manager
Role Summary
The Technical Project Manager is responsible for leading SOC audit coordination and managing change communications impacting customer-managed systems. This role serves as a key liaison across auditors, technical teams, and customers to ensure compliance, transparency, and successful execution of technical initiatives.
Operating in a regulated environment, this position manages multiple concurrent projects, balances competing priorities, and drives consistent processes that support audit readiness and system reliability.
How You’ll Make an Impact
SOC Audit Coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact for SOC audits (e.g., SOC 1, SOC 2)
- Coordinate audit requests, evidence collection, and responses across technical and operational teams
- Track timelines, risks, and deliverables to ensure high-quality, on-time submissions
- Support remediation efforts and maintain audit documentation and controls
- Promote audit readiness through consistent processes and governance
Change Management & Customer Coordination
- Lead planning and communication for changes impacting customer-managed systems
- Partner with engineering, operations, and support teams to assess risks and dependencies
- Deliver clear, timely communication to internal stakeholders and customers
- Track change execution through completion, including validation and documentation
Project Management Execution
- Manage technical projects with defined scope, timelines, and deliverables
- Develop project plans, track risks, and provide regular status updates
- Balance multiple initiatives of moderate complexity and urgency
- Ensure consistent application of project management best practices
What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in technical project or program management
- Experience supporting SOC audits and working with external auditors
- Strong understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, or SaaS environments
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
- Strong communication skills, including experience with customer-facing interactions
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and follow-through skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments (e.g., healthcare, SaaS, finance)
- Familiarity with ITIL, change management, or risk management frameworks
- PMP, CSM, or similar certification (preferred)

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
