This role is focused on operational leadership, process management, operational quality management, automation strategy, and service execution. While the position partners closely with data engineering, analytics, and technology teams, it is not responsible for software engineering delivery or direct engineering team leadership.

Responsibilities:

Process Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead the design, documentation, standardization, and optimization of operational processes supporting client data feeds and data products.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to simplify workflows, eliminate manual effort, reduce operational risk, and improve scalability.
  • Establish and maintain process governance, procedures, controls, and operational standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on service quality, efficiency, automation, and operational maturity.
  • Lead organizational and process change management efforts, ensuring successful adoption of new processes, tools, and ways of working.

Operations Management

  • Oversee day-to-day operations supporting client-facing data feeds and data products.
  • Ensure operational activities consistently meet service commitments, delivery schedules, and business expectations.
  • Manage operational issue resolution, escalations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
  • Develop and monitor operational performance metrics and service measures to drive accountability and transparency.
  • Partner with business, product, engineering, and client-facing teams to ensure operational readiness and execution excellence.

Quality Management & Automation

  • Establish and continuously enhance quality processes for client data products and data feeds through automated validations, reconciliation controls, monitoring, and exception management.
  • Lead the evolution of quality management practices from manual review activities toward scalable, automated quality controls and exception-based processing.
  • Define operational quality standards and ensure delivered outputs meet accuracy, completeness, and reliability expectations.
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and quality reporting processes that proactively identify issues before client impact occurs.
  • Drive improvements that increase confidence in delivered products while reducing reliance on manual quality verification activities.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and develop a team of operational and process management professionals.
  • Build a culture of accountability, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and client focus.
  • Coach and mentor team members on process management, problem solving, quality practices, and operational leadership.
  • Define team priorities, goals, and development plans aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Foster collaboration across technology, product, analytics, and business stakeholders.

Required Experience:

  • Degree or equivalent experience and typically requires 9+ years of relative experience leading operational, process management, data operations, or service delivery functions.
  • Experience managing client-facing operational processes and service commitments.
  • Demonstrated success leading operational transformation initiatives, including process redesign, automation adoption, standardization, and quality improvement.
  • Experience implementing quality controls, monitoring, automation, and operational governance practices.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams and driving organizational change.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience supporting data products, data feeds, operational data services, or client-facing data operations.
