We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated leader to oversee the quality assurance and release management processes across all production-based applications within the SCRI organization. The Service Delivery Manager will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance and release management processes across all production-based applications. This role ensures that all releases meet quality gates, compliance requirements, and are executed with minimal risk. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software delivery, Agile methodologies, and continuous integration and delivery pipelines. They will also collaborate cross functionally with McKesson central teams for effective implementation of applications with enterprise standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Plan release windows and overall release lifecycle in coordination with delivery leads.
  • Perform Release Management assessment and ensure implementation of the Release Management strategy.
  • Develop and manage a release schedule across all production-based applications, ensuring all release notes, documentation, and testing sign-off have been provided.
  • Identify areas for process improvements related to production releases.
  • Execute change fallback procedures in case of a failure during one of the implementation procedures.
  • Notify Operations / Validation and/or Service Desk with the status of the change.
  • Provide guidance to Scrum Masters on enterprise-level Agile practices, especially within SAFe frameworks.
  • Lead release readiness reviews and ensure all Scrum teams meet quality gates and compliance requirements.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as velocity, defect rates, and delivery predictability.
  • Define and oversee the test strategy across functional and non-functional domains, including unit, system integration, and regression.
  • Establish and manage a defect triage process, ensuring timely resolution and retesting of failed scenarios.
  • Educate and mentor team members on quality standards, testing methodologies, and compliance requirements.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of change agents, testing engineers, and Scrum Masters.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in software development lifecycle and release management processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile frameworks, including SAFe.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance methodologies and testing strategies.
  • Understanding of compliance and regulatory standards in software delivery.
  • Knowledge of tools supporting CD/CI pipelines and test automation frameworks.
  • Proven experience in software delivery and release management.
  • Strong understanding of Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration (CD/CI) pipelines.
  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM software development methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive quality initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to mentor and develop team members.
