Position Overview:
The Sr. Director, ERP Transformation Services will serve as the connective tissue across the ERP transformation landscape for O&M. This leader will drive orchestration across business units, programs, and stakeholders—ensuring alignment, business readiness, and value realization—without overlapping with technical or business process ownership.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Orchestration & Integration
Lead cross-program orchestration of the S/4HANA transformation across the O&M IT portfolio, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and business priorities.
Integrate ERP efforts across systems beyond SAP, supporting continuity as the program expands to additional business units.
Provide leadership continuity for business process analysts and owners as the organization matures.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
Serve as the primary liaison to O&M leadership, aligning plans, dependencies, and expectations across business and IT.
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure shared accountability and transparency.
Dependency & Risk Management
Identify and resolve cross-program conflicts, escalate blockers through appropriate channels, and align cutover plans with business stakeholders.
Ensure program timelines are synchronized with fiscal planning, resource availability, and enterprise milestones.
Business Readiness & Change Enablement
Ensure business staffing, change management, and business case delivery are on track.
Manage escalations to senior leadership and ensure readiness for go-live events.
Value Assurance
Track business case realization and ensure accountability for outcomes across both business and IT.
Monitor KPIs and ensure alignment with strategic goals and transformation objectives.
What This Role Does Not Own
Technical delivery, architecture, or SAP build.
Business requirements, testing execution, or adoption.
Day-to-day program decisions or acting as an approval layer.
Key Principle:
This role connects dots and removes obstacles. It does not make technical or business process decisions.
Minimum Requirements
Typically requires 13+ years of professional experience and 6+ years of diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization, and people motivation skills (or equivalent experience).
Critical Skills
Proven experience in large-scale ERP transformations, ideally with S/4HANA.
Strong orchestration and stakeholder management skills across complex matrixed environments.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate topics for non-technical audiences.
Comfortable operating in ambiguity and influencing without direct authority.
Experience managing cross-BU initiatives and aligning with enterprise-level governance.
Familiarity with digital transformation, AI-first strategies, and clean core ERP principles is a plus
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Experience working in or with healthcare providers, payers, or life sciences organizations.
Familiarity with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, FDA AI/ML guidance).
Education
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field OR equivalent experience.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
