A global leader of inclusion
McKesson’s commitment to diversity and inclusion starts at the top. We have also been named a Best Employer for Diversity by Forbes.
Responsibility
McKesson is an impact-driven, Fortune 10 company that touches virtually every aspect of healthcare. We are known for delivering insights, products, and services that make quality care more accessible and affordable. Here, we focus on the health, happiness, and well-being of you and those we serve – we care.
What you do at McKesson matters. We foster a culture where you can grow, make an impact, and are empowered to bring new ideas. Together, we thrive as we shape the future of health for patients, our communities, and our people. If you want to be part of tomorrow’s health today, we want to hear from you.
We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Director of Product Management to lead the Lynx product team, McKesson’s flagship inventory management solution for oncology and specialty practices.
Lynx revolutionized the market when it was first released, two decades ago. It has since established itself as the industry-leading workhorse of the clinic. It’s time for another revolution: we’re looking for a dynamic leader that can evolve Lynx for the next 20 years.
Lynx enables oncology and specialty practices to efficiently manage injectable and infusible therapies. It supports over 360 practices and 1,600 sites of care, helping them improve charge capture, reduce waste, and streamline operations. Lynx integrates seamlessly with EHRs, billing systems, and practice management platforms, enabling real-time visibility and control over drug inventory across multiple locations. With features like intuitive dispensing, remote locking devices, and robust analytics, Lynx empowers practices to enhance patient care, improve cash flow, and reduce administrative burden.
As the Director, you will lead a cross-functional team of product managers & owners, scrum masters, and UI/UX designers, driving the product vision, roadmap, and execution across Lynx and Lynx Analytics. You’ll collaborate with engineering, sales, marketing, operations, and customer success to deliver innovative, scalable, and compliant solutions that meet the evolving needs of specialty practices.
This is not a maintenance role. We want a builder, a challenger, and a change agent who thrives on ambiguity, is passionate about solving complex problems, and is eager to make a lasting impact.
What You’ll Do
Lead Transformation: Architect and execute a bold modernization strategy for Lynx, leveraging AI, LLMs, and cutting-edge digital solutions.
Own the Vision: Set and drive the product vision, challenging assumptions and driving new ideas from concept to launch.
Champion Lynx: Represent the product both within McKesson and to external partners & stakeholders.
Build & Empower Teams: Recruit, mentor, and inspire a diverse, entrepreneurial team of product managers, owners, and designers.
Innovate Relentlessly: Identify and seize opportunities to disrupt the status quo—whether through new features, business models, or partnerships.
Drive Outcomes: Measure success by real-world impact—improved patient care, provider efficiency, and market leadership.
Collaborate Across Boundaries: Work closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and customers to deliver solutions that matter.
Embrace Risk & Learn Fast: Test, iterate, and pivot quickly. Celebrate learning as much as winning.
Who You Are
Entrepreneurial Leader: You’ve built or scaled products in fast-moving environments—startups, high-growth teams, or turn-arounds.
Healthcare Tech Enthusiast: Experience in SaaS, healthcare, or life sciences is a plus, but curiosity and drive matter most.
Strategic & Hands-On: You can set a vision and roll up your sleeves to make it happen.
Change Agent: You challenge legacy thinking and inspire others to do the same.
Customer-Obsessed: You use insights to guide decisions and never lose sight of the end user. You solve customer problems rather than simply delivering feature updates.
Collaborative & Inclusive: You build teams where diverse perspectives fuel creativity and execution.
Minimum Requirement
Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 12+ years of professional experience and 4+ years of management experience.
Education
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or entrepreneurial experience preferred.
Critical Skills
A track record of building successful products. Ability to challenge legacy thinking and drive disruptive innovation.
Demonstrated ability to define and articulate a bold product vision and roadmap, lead modernization initiatives leveraging AI, LLMs, and advanced digital solutions, and drive transformational change through strong strategic leadership.
Experience leading cross-functional teams in dynamic, ambiguous settings.
Comfort with risk, experimentation, and rapid iteration.
Strong communication and influence skills—able to rally stakeholders around bold ideas.
Bonus Points
Experience with building AI/LLM features.
Prior success in startup, scale-up, or turnaround environments.
Travel Requirements
Up to 30% travel required for customer visits, stakeholder meetings, and McKesson office collaboration.
