Relevant de la directrice principale, Stratégie cliniques–prescripteurs/navigation, la personne titulaire du poste de Chef(fe), Innovations en pharmacie contribue aux travaux d’une équipe hautement qualifiée et multidisciplinaire visant le développement et le déploiement d’offres de services destinées aux pharmacies communautaires pour les médicaments de spécialité.

Ce rôle exige une excellente compréhension de l’environnement pharmaceutique, des législations provinciales ainsi que des modèles de remboursement liés aux prescriptions de médicaments dite de spécialité. La personne devra collaborer étroitement avec les pharmacies communautaires, les programmes de soutien aux patients (PSP) ainsi que les fabricants afin de mettre en œuvre un modèle de soins centré sur le patient, de calibre supérieur.

Responsabilités spécifiques

  • Mettre à jour et déployer des outils professionnels afin d’aider les pharmaciens à soutenir et à prendre en charge les patients nécessitant un accès rapide à des médicaments dits de spécialité et des soins appropriés.
  • Soutenir et accompagner les lancements de molécules et mises à jour de PSP.
  • Gérer l’intégration, la formation et les enjeux d’escalade des pharmacies.
  • Réviser, créer et maintenir les instructions de travail, ainsi que les politiques et procédures.
  • Superviser la facturation, les rapports et la coordination financière.
  • Développer et maintenir un vaste réseau de leaders de l’industrie, de clients et de partenaires.
  • Agir à titre d’expert(e) sur l’écosystème des médicaments de spécialité, notamment en ce qui concerne les connaissances sur les médicaments, la législation pharmaceutique, l’accès aux tiers payeurs et aux réseaux de fournisseurs.
  • Tirer parti des offres et des actifs disponibles, tels que les cliniques d’infusion, afin d’offrir une expérience globale de soins centrée sur le patient.
  • Comprendre l’environnement législatif et agir comme expert(e) en matière de pratique professionnelle pharmaceutique.
  • Collaborer et élaborer des stratégies avec les parties prenantes internes et externes, y compris les organismes de réglementation et d’agrément, lorsque pertinent.
  • Développer des présentations pour la haute direction ainsi que pour les fabricants ou les équipes internes des unités d’affaires.
  • Effectuer toute autre tâche connexe assignée.

Exigences clés

  • Diplôme universitaire en pharmacie
  • Membre en règle de l’Ordre des pharmaciens du Québec
  • Solide compréhension des activités de la pharmacie communautaire dans l’ensemble des provinces, particulièrement au Québec; une expérience pratique constitue un atout important
  • Bonne connaissance de l’écosystème des médicaments de spécialité
  • Expérience en vente (atout)
  • Expérience dans le développement de programmes et la création de matériel de formation
  • Expérience dans la prestation de formations à des publics clés
  • Capacité à collaborer avec l’ensemble des parties prenantes de l’entreprise
  • Solide sens des affaires en pharmacie et compréhension approfondie du modèle de la pharmacie indépendante
  • Fortes compétences en leadership
  • Excellentes aptitudes en négociation
  • Solides compétences analytiques et en recherche
  • Excellentes habiletés de communication, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit
  • Bilinguisme requis (excellente maîtrise du français, à l’oral et à l’écrit)

Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Director, Clinic-Prescriber/Navigation Strategy, the Lead Pharmacy Innovations contributes to the work of a highly skilled cross-functional team in the development and deployment of service offerings for retail pharmacies on specialty drugs.

This role will require the individual to have a strong understanding of the pharmacy landscape, provincial legislations, and reimbursement models of specialty prescriptions. It will require the individual to collaborate with retail pharmacies, Patient Support Programs, as well as manufacturers to execute a best-in-class patient centric care model.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Updates and implements professional tools to help pharmacists support and care for patients requiring timely access to specialty drugs and appropriate care
  • Support and guide PSP or molecule launches and updates
  • Manage pharmacy onboarding, training, and escalation issues
  • Review, create, and maintain work instructions (WIs), policies, and procedures
  • Oversee billing, reporting, and financial coordination
  • Nurtures an extensive network of industry leaders, customers and partners.
  • Be the subject matter expert of the specialty drug ecosystem in terms of drug knowledge, pharmacy legislation, access to third party payers and provider networks.
  • Leverages available offerings and assets, such as infusion clinics, in providing a holistic patient centric experience
  • Understands the legislative landscape and be the subject matter expert in all areas involving Pharmacy professional practice
  • Engages and strategizes actively with internal and external stakeholders including regulatory and licensing bodies as relevant
  • Develops presentations for senior leadership as well as manufacturer stakeholders or internal business unit teams’
  • Additional tasks as assigned.

Key Requirements

  • University degree in pharmacy.
  • Licensed with Quebec Pharmacists College
  • Solid understanding of retail pharmacy business in all provinces, especially Quebec; practical experience is a strong asset.
  • Solid understanding of the specialty drug ecosystem.
  • Experienced in sales an asset.
  • Experienced in developing programs and creating training materials.
  • Experienced in delivering training to key audience.
  • Able to liaise with all stakeholders of the business.
  • Strong pharmacy business acumen and with a solid understanding of the independent pharmacy model.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Superior communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Bilingual (strong French skills- written and verbal).
  • Strong understanding of patient support programs and their workings/objectives
  • Special remark: This role will be based in Quebec requiring travelling with remote work arrangements
  • Full-time, fixed-term (18 months)

The incumbent of this position will provide daily support to internal and/or external clients outside Quebec and/or in the United States. Therefore, he/she must be proficient in spoken and written English. Please note that the number of positions requiring English language skills has been limited where possible.
