Job Title
Senior Manager, Network Engineering
Summary

As the Senior Manager, Network Engineering, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of McKesson’s enterprise network infrastructure. This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on technical expertise to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient network solutions that support business growth and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of network engineers; manage performance, career development, and succession planning.
- Foster a collaborative, customer-centric culture aligned with McKesson’s trusted-advisor model.
- Provide technical guidance and escalation support for complex network initiatives and incidents.
- Architect, implement, and operate enterprise-grade network solutions across campus and branch environments.
- Own end-to-end network design, deployment, and lifecycle management.
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex network issues and outages.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and resiliency across LAN, WAN, wireless, and SD-WAN environments.
- Define and maintain network architecture standards, policies, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements, regulatory standards, and internal controls.
- Maintain accurate and current network documentation, diagrams, and inventories.
- Partner closely with Security, Cloud, Infrastructure, and Application teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Coordinate dependencies and execution for large-scale technology programs and transformations.
- Act as a key contributor in architectural reviews and enterprise initiatives.
- Evaluate emerging networking technologies and recommend adoption aligned with business needs.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service performance.
- Drive cost optimization while maintaining service quality and reliability.
What You Bring
- Strong hands-on experience with Aruba and/or Cisco enterprise networking solutions.
- Experience with Aruba SD-WAN or similar SD-WAN technologies.
- Proven track record deploying large-scale networks.
- Deep expertise in routing, switching, wireless networking, and firewalls.
- Proven ability to lead complex troubleshooting efforts and drive resolution.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 9+ years of professional
experience and 1+ years of supervisory and/or management experience.
Preferable Skills & Experience
- Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, Aruba certifications, or equivalent.
- Experience with network automation and orchestration tools.
- Exposure to cloud networking and hybrid connectivity models.
