Summary:
McKesson is seeking a Senior Director of Enterprise Contract-Lifecycle-Management (CLM) to lead the strategy, governance, and execution of our enterprise-wide Contract Lifecycle Management capabilities. In this role, you will oversee how contracts are created, managed, digitized, stored, and integrated across the organization—ensuring our CLM ecosystem supports business operations, compliance, and efficiency at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the vision, roadmap, and delivery of McKesson’s enterprise CLM strategy and platforms.
  • Oversee from enterprise perspective end-to-end CLM processes, including authoring, negotiation, approvals, digitization, obligation management, and contract repository governance.
  • Partner with business units, Legal, Finance, Procurement, IT, and external vendors to align CLM capabilities with enterprise needs.
  • Define and maintain standards for contract structure, metadata, digitization, and data quality.
  • Provide leadership for CLM platform selection, implementation, enhancements, and integrations with ERP, CRM, sourcing, legal, and analytics systems.
  • Establish performance measures, monitor operational metrics, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage budgets, resource planning, vendor relationships, and program outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise governance, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Communicate regularly with executive leadership on progress, risks, decisions, and business impacts.
  • Lead post‑implementation evaluations and ongoing optimization of CLM workflows and capabilities.
  • Drive adoption of AI capabilities within CLM, including automated metadata extraction, contract summarization, clause classification, and risk detection.
  • Evaluate and integrate AI tools to streamline authoring, redlining guidance, and negotiation support.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 13+ years of professional experience and 6+ years of diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization, and people motivation skills (or equivalent experience).

Critical Skills

  • Proven leadership experience managing enterprise-scale CLM programs or similar contract‑centric transformation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of CLM platforms, contract data models, digitization, workflow automation, and integrations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, decision-making, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience operating in large, fast-paced enterprise environments with structured governance.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience applying AI solutions in contract management, legal operations, or enterprise workflow transformation.

Additional Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in contract management technology or enterprise SaaS implementation within healthcare or life sciences.
  • Proven track record leading CLM or related technology deployments (e.g., Conga CLM, SAP, Salesforce, Pramata, Icertis, DocuSign).
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and complex, matrixed projects.
  • Strong understanding of contract management best practices, healthcare regulatory requirements, and integrations with enterprise systems.
  • Preferred certifications in CLM and/or project management.
  • Hands-on familiarity with AI tools and frameworks used for document intelligence, NLP models, OCR, and workflow automation.
  • Experience delivering AI-enabled contract digitization, automated classification, or insight generation.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience with leading enterprise CLM platforms (Conga, Icertis, Pramata or similar).
  • Background in contract digitization, metadata standards, and repository management.
  • Knowledge of healthcare, distribution, or pharmaceutical industry operations.
  • Experience with large-scale system integrations across ERP, CRM, sourcing, legal, and analytics environments.
  • Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
  • PMP, PgMP, or similar program management certifications.
  • Understanding of responsible AI practices, including model governance, data quality, bias monitoring, and compliance.
  • Experience partnering with enterprise AI teams to develop scalable CLM AI capabilities.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. $150,800 - $251,300
