Job Summary

The Production Support Manager is responsible to lead a dynamic team that ensures smooth software operations nationwide, you’ll oversee the daily activities of the Production Support team, driving exceptional customer experiences through the flawless execution of software deployments for Rx, POS, and operating systems. Your role will include guiding and mentoring a talented team of analysts, offering operational support to both PTS customers and internal PTS/McKesson teams.

The focus of this role is to lead a team of highly knowledgeable analysts to ensure PTS operational success by:

  • Spearhead the exploration and presentation of innovative deployment tools.

  • Develop and automate processes to enhance success rates and shorten deployment times.

  • Minimize the impact of deployments on customers and support teams.

  • Implement proactive system monitoring.

  • Efficiently coordinate and staff workloads.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Oversee the deployment of essential software, including POS, RX

  • Manage and Monitoring security patching, activations, certificate renewals, and configuration changes.

  • Attention to all Cybersecurity Initiatives, ensuring to address all type of vulnerabilities  in a timely manner , prioritizing them according to their Severity Level

  • Handle conversions, merges, closure tasks, and backup monitoring.

  • Provide system recovery, SOTI management, and Command Centre agent management.

  • Implement processes and procedures to ensure team efficiency and document accuracy.

  • Plan and manage support-related projects, including retiring legacy systems.

  • Deliver hands-on application support for core pharmacy dispensary systems in retail settings.

  • Support core business applications (RX & POS) and operating systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.

  • Collaborate on technical or release-related issues to find solutions.

  • Communicate issues to end users and assist with project deliverables during the transition from project releases to Application Support.

  • Work with third-party vendor applications and develop a knowledge base of incidents and resolutions.

  • Partner with the Conversion team for database conversions and merges for new store acquisitions or closures.

  • Manage Numara User Access, Store SCCM Administration, and Store Domain Management.

  • Administer SOTI servers for mobile devices (RF units and Training Terminals).

  • Develop utilities and batch programs using “C”, ISQL, PowerShell, and DOS/Windows.

  • Design SQL queries and assist in software release testing and validation.

  • Implement system support tasks using remote administration software scripting.

  • Manage tasks in the defect tracking system (Salesforce).

  • Implement backup and recovery procedures.

  • Be on-call during weekends and evenings on a rotation basis.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Requirements

  • 2-3 years of College Diploma in a relevant discipline.

  • 2+ years of experience in a retail environment; 5-7 years in an IT environment.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages for automation.

  • Strong understanding of Client Server architecture and application environments (Sybase, MS SQL Server).

  • Knowledge of Microsoft SCCM, SCOM, and Backup Software.

  • Expertise in Windows operating systems (Win7, 2008, 2010, 2012 server).

  • Familiarity with RDBMS and configuring OS components.

  • Experience with remote support tools like Remote Desktop.

  • Knowledge of programming languages: “C”, ISQL, PowerShell, DOS/Windows batch.

  • Understanding of computer hardware, networking, and modems.

  • Experience with remote administration software installation and maintenance.

  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to build trust and credibility by adhering to business principles and values.

  • Commitment to achieving results and a proactive customer service mindset.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$81,500 - $135,900
