About the Role

McKesson's Commercial Strategy & Innovation (CSI) team is seeking a Sales Executive to help healthcare organizations improve performance through innovative technology and pharmacy solutions. In this role, you will drive revenue growth by acquiring new customers and expanding relationships within existing accounts across a portfolio that includes pharmacy technology, software, and healthcare business solutions.

You will work closely with healthcare providers, pharmacy leaders, and health system stakeholders to understand their business needs and recommend solutions that support operational efficiency, growth, and patient care. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional who enjoys consultative selling, building customer relationships, and delivering measurable business results.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and manage a pipeline of qualified sales opportunities across new and existing customer accounts.
  • Prospect, identify, and engage healthcare organizations to generate new business opportunities.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand customer goals, challenges, and operational needs.
  • Present and position CSI solutions, including pharmacy technology and business solutions, to prospective customers.
  • Create and deliver proposals, pricing recommendations, and business value presentations.
  • Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle, from prospecting to contract execution.
  • Collaborate with Account Management, Product, Marketing, Sales Operations, and Implementation teams to support customer success.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, opportunity, and forecast information within Salesforce.
  • Achieve or exceed assigned sales, revenue, and growth objectives.
  • Represent McKesson at customer meetings, industry events, and conferences as needed.
  • Monitor healthcare and pharmacy industry trends to identify new business opportunities.

Basic Requirements

Minimum Education & Typical Experience

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of business-to-business (B2B) sales experience with quota responsibility.
  • Experience managing opportunities through multiple stages of the sales process.
  • Experience developing customer relationships and generating new business opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales goals or performance targets.
  • Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce to manage sales activity and pipeline.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Experience selling healthcare technology, healthcare software, SaaS, analytics, or healthcare services.
  • Experience selling into pharmacies, health systems, hospitals, or healthcare provider organizations.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy operations, pharmacy management systems, or healthcare workflows.
  • Experience with consultative, solution-based, or value-based sales methodologies.
  • Experience with account growth, cross-selling, or upselling initiatives.
  • Ability to effectively present solutions to executive and operational stakeholders.
  • Experience developing business cases and communicating return on investment (ROI).

Travel

  • Ability to travel up to 30% as business needs require.

Physical Requirements

  • General office demands.
  • Ability to travel by car, air, or other means as required.

This role is a hybrid position. The selected candidate is expected to work on-site at our Las Colinas office a minimum of two (2) days per week, with the remaining days worked remotely. Specific in-office days may be designated based on team needs and business priorities.

We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.  In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered. Our Total Target Cash (TTC) Pay Range for this position:

$88,500 - $147,500

Total Target Cash (TTC) is defined as base pay plus target incentive.
