Position Overview

We’re seeking a skilledInstructional Systems Designerto develop engaging, effective training content that supports performance improvement across our organization. You’ll apply instructional design best practices (e.g., ADDIE) to create virtual and in-person learning experiences, using tools likeArticulate Suite, Microsoft Office, Vyond, andgraphic design software. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys collaborating across teams to drive learning outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain training curriculum using ADDIE methodology

  • Select appropriate learning modalities and create knowledge checks and assessments

  • Deliver content via Jira and conduct “train-the-trainer” sessions

  • Observe training sessions and make real-time updates to improve effectiveness

  • Collaborate with facilitators, operations, and QA to address performance gaps

  • Apply healthcare industry knowledge to ensure content relevance

  • Maintain version control and documentation using standardized templates

  • Continuously develop design skills and complete required internal trainings


Minimum Qualifications

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Critical Skills:

  • 4+ years in instructional design or technical course development

  • Mid-level proficiency (4= years) in Articulate Suite (Storyline, Rise), Microsoft Office, Vyond, and graphic design tools

  • Strong understanding of adult learning theory and performance improvement strategies

  • Experience with Kirkpatrick evaluation model and content lifecycle management

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Familiarity with healthcare industry training needs preferred

  • Resolves complex problems using sound judgment within established policies

  • Works independently with limited supervision

  • Develops solutions and approaches that align with organizational goals

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$72,900 - $121,500
