Position Overview

We’re looking for anApplication Delivery & Support Engineerto manage and support both on-premise and cloud-based systems. This role focuses on application performance, deployment, and troubleshooting, with a strong emphasis on reliability, automation, and cross-functional collaboration.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor application performance and health

  • Respond to support issues and troubleshoot software problems

  • Participate in DevOps processes for deployment and management

  • Maintain uptime over 99.9% through proactive support and process improvement

  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery documentation and execution plans

  • Provide audit support and evidence documentation

  • Participate in on-call rotation


Minimum Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

Critical Skills

  • 3–5 years in Windows Server administration

  • 3–5 years supporting fat client and web-based applications with SQL Server backends

  • 2+ years supporting system integrations (web services/APIs via IIS)

  • 2+ years using automated build/provisioning tools

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)

  • Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, Citrix)

  • Monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Datadog, Dynatrace)

  • Scripting (PowerShell, Python)

  • DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git,Rundeck, Terraform)

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • Inclusive, team-oriented mindset

Certifications

  • Cloud certification strongly preferred

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$88,500 - $147,500
