McKesson Medical-Surgical is seeking a Post-Acute Field Sales Account Manager to support our Arizona territory. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales professional who enjoys building momentum, pursuing new business, and creating long-term customer partnerships.

Arizona presents significant opportunity for growth, including opportunities to win back business, expand existing customer relationships, develop new accounts, and pursue corporate-level opportunities throughout the territory. We are looking for a highly motivated, energetic seller who sees opportunity where others see challenges and is excited to make a meaningful impact across the market.


The successful candidate will bring strong consultative selling skills, a proactive approach to territory development, and the drive to build a thriving book of business throughout Arizona's Extended Care market.


🌟 Location & Territory Requirements

  • Strong preference for candidates residing in West Phoenix
  • We will also consider qualified candidates residing in: Peoria Glendale Prescott Sedona Yuma Flagstaff Tucson
  • The territory supports customers throughout Arizona
  • West Phoenix offers centralized access to most customers within approximately 2.5 hours
  • Candidates should bring familiarity with Extended Care providers and customer dynamics within Arizona
  • Approximately 75% travel throughout the assigned territory

💰 Compensation & Benefits

This opportunity offers:

  • Base Salary: $89,000 - $96,000
  • $35,000 Uncapped Target Sales Incentive
  • Additional New Business Bonus Opportunities New business bonuses continue paying out for a full year

💼 About the Role

As a Post-Acute Field Sales Account Manager, you will serve as a trusted advisor to Extended Care customers throughout Arizona, helping providers access McKesson's portfolio of medical supplies, equipment, and services.

This role is ideal for a sales professional who enjoys developing new business opportunities while strengthening existing customer relationships. Success will come from building partnerships, identifying opportunities, providing consultative recommendations, and delivering solutions that help customers improve patient care and operational success.

Patients in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, sub-acute care, long-term acute care, home care, and hospice settings have unique and evolving medical supply needs.

🚀 What You'll Do

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of Post-Acute Care customers throughout Arizona
  • Identify, prospect, and win new business opportunities
  • Re-engage former customers and pursue opportunities to regain business
  • Build trusted relationships with customer leaders and key decision-makers
  • Conduct business reviews and deliver consultative sales presentations
  • Recommend McKesson products, services, and solutions aligned to customer needs
  • Support customer onboarding, product conversions, and sales initiatives
  • Identify customer satisfaction gaps and implement appropriate solutions
  • Partner with sales leadership and colleagues to advance strategic opportunities
  • Maintain awareness of competitive activity, market trends, and emerging opportunities

🎯 What You Bring

Minimum Requirements

  • Four or more years of relevant field sales experience
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • 7-year Motor Vehicle Record Check completed during pre-employment
  • Ability to travel approximately 75% throughout the assigned territory

Preferred Critical Skills

Candidates should possess most or all of these qualifications to be considered highly competitive:

  • Demonstrated success identifying, developing, and winning new business opportunities
  • Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Proven ability to grow existing customer relationships while expanding market share
  • Experience selling within the Extended Care, Post-Acute Care, or healthcare markets
  • Strong consultative selling and relationship management skills
  • Ability to work independently while effectively managing a large geographic territory
  • Strong business acumen, organization, and time-management skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly and maintain momentum within a dynamic field sales environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint

Additional Skills

  • Experience supporting long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, home health, hospice, DME, or wound care providers
  • Healthcare distribution experience
  • Existing professional relationships throughout Arizona
  • Experience conducting business reviews and executive-level presentations
  • Salesforce CRM experience
  • Experience pursuing multi-site, regional, or corporate healthcare opportunities

🏡 Work Environment

  • Field-based role with approximately 75% travel
  • Regular phone and computer-based work
  • Initial field training will include time spent with the Area Sales Manager and other sales team members

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.  In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered. Our Total Target Cash (TTC) Pay Range for this position:

$120,800 - $201,400

Total Target Cash (TTC) is defined as base pay plus target incentive.
