Position Description

We are looking for someone passionate about business process automation to join our team. As a Lead Product Manager, you will be responsible for expanding existing automation products as well as building new automation that align with the strategic direction of the business. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of your products, from planning to execution to release, with the goal of ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. 

Essential Responsibilities:

The Lead Product Manager will immerse themselves in the behaviors of our customers and users to create automation products and experiences that are both effective and bring people together in helping learners achieve their goals. You make strategic decisions grounded in data gathered in those explorations. You design solutions that simplify the business process and delivers rapid automation to the teams You also broker cross-team implementations, all the while monitoring the execution of the project, providing project progress to stakeholders, and maintaining the overall integrity of the outcome. There will be a lot of ambiguity to work through, and it will require a high level of flexibility and trust building. 

The Lead Product Manager will define the automation product roadmap and feature sets, you will be the voice of the product vision across the company and partner closely with business teams, executive management, technology teams, UI/UX, and security engineering to manage the successful ideation, development and delivery of new automations. Experience working in a design-centric, customer-focused environment is essential. 

Responsibilities:

Strategic Vision & Roadmap Development: Define and communicate a compelling product vision and roadmap for automation products that align with company goals and market demands. 

Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer support teams to ensure seamless product development and launch. 

Team Management: Lead and manage a team of business analysts, architects, and program managers, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes innovation and excellence. 

Portfolio Management: Provide complete oversight for the entire portfolio of automation products, from discovery through to post-implementation support. Ensure alignment with strategic objectives and optimal resource allocation across initiatives. 

Business Unit Support: Assist PSAS and Corporate Business units on their automation journey. Help them identify opportunities that can be addressed using automation, AI, and ML solutions, and support their implementation. 

Stakeholder Communication: Manage effective communication with all stakeholders, ensuring transparency, alignment, and collaboration throughout the product lifecycle. 

Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation, development, and launch to growth and sunset. Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. 

Performance Metrics & Analysis: Define success metrics for product performance. Regularly analyze product metrics and user feedback to drive continuous improvement. 

Innovation & Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in automation to ensure our products remain competitive and innovative. 

Strategic Problem Solving: Apply a strategic mindset to solve business problems, leveraging automation technologies to deliver impactful and innovative solutions. 

Minimum Requirements

Typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience.

Critical Skills

  • 10 years of experience in a Product Manager or related role 

  • 5 years+ experience working with business stakeholders to understand customer problems and identifying unique, high-value solutions 

  • 4 years + experience with building Automation products using technology like Robotic Automation, Intelligent Automation, Machine learning, NLP, cognitive solutions, ChatBots, Agentic Process Automation 

  • 3 years+ working in an Agile environment. 

Additional Skills

  • 5 yrs+ experience in healthcare, supply chain or retail industry 

  • Proven ability to develop and deliver comprehensive training programs on AI and automation technologies

  • Strong Problem-Solving skills and innovative mindset

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$138,000 - $230,000
