Lead Material Handler

Location: Memphis, TN, USA - 4836 Southridge Blvd 

Shift - Monday-Thursday 2pm-10:30pm & Friday 1pm-9:30pm

Note - Shift subject to change based on the needs of the business. OT may be required and is mandatory if required.

Compensation will depend on the person selected. A $1.50/hr shift differential will be offered along with base pay.

Job Summary

The Mid-shift Case Team Team Lead will oversee and guide a team responsible for case management operations during the designated mid-shift hours, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality service, and compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, mentor, and train a team of Case Managers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

  • Monitor team performance, productivity, and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs)

  • Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback to team members.

  • Manage daily case assignments, prioritize workloads, and reallocate resources as needed to meet operational demands.

  • Serve as an escalation point for complex case issues, resolving problems efficiently and effectively.

  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all case activities and communications in the relevant systems.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development and implementation of new strategies to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with other team leads and departments to ensure seamless handoffs and consistent service delivery.

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of McKesson's products, services, policies, and relevant regulatory guidelines.

  • Other tasks may be assigned by leader

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Typically requires 5+ years of related experience

Additional Skills and Qualifications

  • 5 years of work experience in a warehouse or distribution center is preferred. Case Management experience preferred. A minimum of 6 months of McKesson experience is required for internal employees

  • Power Industrial Equipment (Reach Truck, Electric Pallet jack, Order (Cherry) Picker) experience would be considered a strong asset; location is willing to train, but, must be able to maintain certifications

  • Familiarity with Accumax would be preferred

  • Leadership/team building skills, including coaching and fostering engagement and collaboration across cross-functional departments

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead individuals and meet SLAS, SOPs, and targets

  •  Must be a positive change team member that demonstrates passion and commitment to the success of the team and individuals

  • Good problem solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to see the “big picture” and be proactive

  • Demonstrated ability to be organized and manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and judgement within broadly defined policies and practices.

  • Ability to anticipate and adapt to change and direct or redirect efforts.​

  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards relevant to case management is a plus.

  • Ability to work the specified mid-shift hours consistently.

Physical Demands (may include all or some of the following, some only on occasion):

  • General office demands

  • Must be comfortable working at heights

  • Must be comfortable working in refrigerated areas when required

  • Ability to walk up to 10 miles throughout the course of a shift (steps vary per shift) 

  • Ability to lift 20-50 pounds repetitively throughout the course of a shift without assistance; ability to lift greater weights in a team lift (weight varies based on product)  

  • May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day.

  • May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day.

  • May be necessary to work extended hours as needed.

  • Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.

  • May need to work in cold or refrigerated areas

  • Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Must be able to hear normal voice sounds

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
